Bro I stayed up late last night watching Tzuyu on a vlive because she was playing the ghuzeng (a really pretty instrument). Apparently Chrysanthemum Terrace is a song she really likes and she asked her teacher to show her how to play it. Pay close attention to JYP's evaluations of each girl's performance in this ep. and remember during the final selection. I think he always had 9 in mind but was willing to give all of them a chance to show greatness. If you really know JYP and have being paying attention you already know the 4 who will be cut.

Hahaha. You will definitely miss 6 awesome performance if you skip this (which I bet you won't). Plus, when I first watched this episode, Yuna got me tearing up too. She is a really great trainee. Btw after episode 6, they made a special clip of JYP'S basic dance, which all trainees must pass once before they debut. Mina and Tzuyu debut without getting evaluated for that dance.

It seriously isn't fair that they had Miihi do Mina's part. Our poor Too Grown's heart must've burst. AND MIIHI DID JIHYO'S PART. It seems like JYP thought Miihi was holding back because she didn't want to out-shine Yuna?

You're going to have the same sort of feelings as you had when the Twice show was over. The 'I wish I hadn't watched this. but how could I not have watched it?' I'm still pissed, so at least you can't say you weren't warned. I was hoping the group would be 13 and losing 4 of them was really hard.

The best performances in the whole series are in the next episodes, especially episode 8. Mayuka will blow you away, so don't stop now. Three of the four eliminations occur in ep 10 so you could skip that one and go to the MV. I wish I had.

Before I forget to write it after the video I have to pause... It's so freaking impressive that he held this speech in Japanese at the beginning! I couldn't do it and I'm fluent - he isn't fluent but he's got the mindset of a professional, so he probably practised the speech until it was perfect. The way he presents himself there is like Japanese was his mother tounge. I can't help but feel deep respect for this man! oke... back to the video! Done... I'm so glad that you like Maya now :D Feel Special is such a hard song to perform. Not because of the choreo or the vocals but because of the atmosphere. I simply can't rate their performance... They missed some notes (especially Akari and surprisingly Miihi as well) but I don't really care because they did the song justice with their attitude. As the trainer said the song shouldn't be sung in a sad way. They smiled through the whole performance (especially Miihi) and that's exactly how I'd do it. However for me it felt like Miihi was frustrated because she didn't fully understand the concept of the song. I had this discussion in the comment section of another video where JYP said "feel special" is sad song. But what he meant was while the song is written in major and the tone feels "happy" in a way the song is actually pretty serious and complicated. "You make me feel special" implies that without this person you don't feel special, even worthless. It's not just implied but also in the first verse when they sing 갑자기 혼자인 것만 같은 날 어딜 가도 내 자리가 아닌 것만 같고 (gapjagi honjain geonman gateun nal eodil gado nae jariga anin geonman gatgo) - "days when I suddenly feel all alone when I feel like I don’t belong anywhere". For a 15yo girl this feeling, this concept might be hard to understand. And we know from earlier performances that Miihi is a perfectionist who takes every detail very serious. Feel Special is one of these songs that resonates with you for a long time because it's indeed special and a masterpiece and it can be interpreted in many different ways. My guts tell me that JYP is aware of that and was very nice to them even though they made some "mistakes". He was curious of why Miihi didn't show her full potential and her answer felt like she didn't know herself, that she for some reason couldn't enjoy the performance. So that's why I said I can't evaluate it at all. It's not a 10/10, that's for sure... But I liked it as if they performed a 10... Know what I mean? ^^ At this point I was a bit worried... It was indeed hard to watch without knowing the outcome, so I feel you... I guess that's why we're here - to see someone else suffer with us! :D jk

Iris (Maya, Miihi, Yuna, Akari) – Feel Special • Vocal – 7 Akari’s first verse a bit flat. Yuna’s pre-chorus, too. Akari’s section in the chorus got, pitchy, too. Miihi felt off, whether at times sharpness, poor breathing, or rushing. Maya’s belt note fell off pitch. Yuna performed her rap much better than the singing, but that roll-off at the end wasn’t a particularly smooth landing, so to speak. • Dance – 8 Texturing is mostly represented. Lines and timing seemed consistent (aside from sections intended as a wave, of course). One area I found lacking was hip/torso roll for the crouched members at the 2nd pre-chrous. However, the shot editing may have hidden it (though what I can see doesn’t look like it represents the uncurling of the spine). Also seems like Maya bent at the knees, rather than the waist at the final words of the final chorus before the outro dance break, so she looks more upright than the other three. • Face – 9 I think the girls did well here. For me, Akari particularly stood out. • Group Interaction – 9 A lot of the group dynamics of the choreography are lost when you scale it down from 9 members to 4. What is strange is that through the song is ostensibly speaking about the care received from other members, the choreo is more about presenting outwards to a third-party viewer, rather than the members “receiving in” each other. Even the tableaus are more like “you out there, look at her,” rather than “I the band member am looking at you, the featured band member.” So, what points they earn from me here are related to staying in formation and maintaining a consistent level of attack and lines of the dance moves amongst the members.

You won't get through this series without tears of your own. Like 1/3 the runtime of the final pair of episodes is the girls sobbing, both happy and sad tears. Straight up ugly cry sobbing. The pressure of performing really lead to some well-deserved catharsis of letting up on the pressure valve.

I haven't watched yet so sorry if you answer this question during the video, but do we know what is replacing Nizi project when you're finished? Assuming something would replace it's spot that is. Again sorry to ask without watching but I wanted to ask early and can't watch tonight for time zone reasons.

Dunno if I'm the only one but I think that another reason JYP looked kinda close to crying during and after the performance was because the song just has a special place in his heart and that they did it justice when they performed. Like even though it wasn't perfect, I just felt something when I watched it the first time.

I feel like it's the same feeling+pressure for Minyoung in Sixteen where she carried all the high notes. For a 15 year old girl, they all did amazing. I would have passed out just before going on stage lol. It's a difficult stage of development. To be an idol, you need to fight through your fear and enjoy the stage and pass that positivity to the audience. I can feel it now that they will end up like TWICE in the future. They will win over the pressure and have a mindset that this is really their stage. They deserve to be shining on stage and enjoy it.

He was so proud of Yuna. It hurts when you see the person you care about worked so hard for the past 3 years and got stuck in a slump. I have the same feeling when I saw Yuna on that stage; "yes, finally she can overcome her fear and pressure." You can see that everyone basically burst into tears when JYP told Yuna that she did amazing this round. It's the one sentence she has been wanting to hear for the past 3 years.

If I had to suffer through this whole show - you better get through it all too lol. Remember you said Once need to see 15+1 to understand where Twice came from so do the same for this group too. As for Miihi, I think it was a lot to shoulder. 4 people doing a 9 member song is already a lot and she was carrying parts from Sana, Jihyo, Mina etc on her back. I do wonder if she was trying to mimic them a bit. I'm sure it's more than that, but that's what always came to my mind when I heard her during that song.

how did we get through eliminations... hahaha I still cry thinking of the ones who didn't make it. I was hoping for all 13 to debut. I am happy for the ones who made it. I look forward to seeing the others debut one day like I waited for Somi and Natty from 15 +1
