A fun fact: The name of the show "Twice's Elegant Private Life" In Hangul is 트와이스의 우아한 사생활 and the word elegant is expressed by 우아한 which if you were to want to pronounce that it would be "Ooh ahh han" which is obviously play on their debut song!

i’m halfway through and just have to address your questions (so far) lol. 1) they know they’re being filmed for the show, but they were told the cameras in the dorm weren’t hooked up yet. they know they’re there, but they don’t know they’re being filmed at the moment. 2) pd is short for producer, not private detective lol. the girls call jyp “pd-nim”, i believe the nim is just a respect thing. 3) yes, that one manager is still with twice! 4) the person mnet has undercover is a producer for the tv company, but they told twice she’s a new manager so they get close to her. hope this clears up some stuff so far, now i’m gonna get back to the video ☺️

"pd" in korean shows means Production Director (producer) so JYP is called PDnim (nim being a polite form) and the director of a tv show program is also called PD

The window food delivery was a recreation from when they were trainees and not allowed to get delivery at the dorm. They had to sneak the food in.

The girls love playing mafia. they do it a lot, not just in this show. When they play there's 2 mafia, 1 doctor, 1 police, and 1 game moderator (usually Jeongyeon). When it's night time, the mafia choose one 1 person to kill, the doctor chooses 1 person to save from being killed, and the police chooses 1 person and can find out their role. Then it switches to daytime, where the survivors debate who they think the mafia is and can decide to kill off one suspect. It keeps going until either the citizens or the mafia win. You should watch "TWICE playing a *sPiCy* game of mafia" on YouTube. It has a lot of Mina and can give you a better idea of how the game works.

The girls knew they were going to be filming the show, but for the first episode they were told the cameras were not turned on yet and they had a fake manager manager follow them around with hidden cameras to see "the real Twice". Also the bit with the delivery food, as trainees they were not allowed to order delivery or they would get in trouble and they even had cameras set up at their front door to monitor it. Our girls are smart though and would have the delivery person tie the food to rope and pull it through a window so they wouldn't get in trouble

Twice lives still in a dorm, but its not that dorm in this show, they have a new one, a bigger one. All the foreign members live there. Some members (i believe Jihyo and Nayeon) have their own home. Other korean members still live at their parents home. Overall they are mostly living in the Twice Dorm.

Twice still live in the dorm but I've heard they have quite a bit of freedom to live outside of it when their schedules allow. Dorm living just makes more sense for their schedules. According to profiles there are 3 dorm groupings. Momo/Jeongyeon share a room. The School Meal Club share one, and then Nayeon/Jihyo/Mina/Sana share a room.

That indeed is the mafia game. They've played it a bunch on camera over the years. Basically the way it works is the game master secretly names someone to be Mafia, a doctor and a detective. There is a nighttime period where they close their eyes and the Mafia selects someone to Kill. Also during nighttime the doctor can pick someone to save from being killed. During daytime mode they then try and figure out who's the mafia by asking questions and then voting as a group to kill who they think is the mafia. The day/nite cycle continues till either the mafia kills everyone or the group figures out who's the mafia and votes to kill them.

I think they know they’re being recorded but, like JYP said, they’re acting natural. I could be wrong. The clips you see in hidden places like jackets and such are completely unknown to Twice. It’s for a hidden mission that will reveal itself soon. The clip of them getting food from the window was because they weren’t allowed to get jokbal, what they ordered, I don’t know why. Probably because they were on a diet. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Yes, that was the mafia game. They have multiple videos on Youtube from fansigns where they play the game. It’s fun to guess who the mafia is and it’s even more fun to watch them accuse each other. Jeongyeon doesn’t play much because she’s usually the moderator, the person choosing the roles. The game works like this, their version; You have a doctor, a police, and two mafias, everyone else is a citizen (occasionally they’ll play with one mafia or no police). Come night time the mafia attacks (not physically), the police ask, and the doctor can save. The doctor can save anyone playing the game. They’re supposed to save whoever they think the mafia would kill (usually the doctor saves themselves, especially if it’s Dahyun or Mina). The police can ask the moderator who they think the mafia is and the moderator can either say yes or no. The mafia is only allowed to attack one person per night fall. They are also allowed to identify who each other are. Come day time the group accuse each other and decide who to kill. Once that person dies, they cannot be saved. If they’re are two mafias left and one citizen, the mafias win and vice versa. Tips to identify who the mafia is if you ever decide to watch them play and want to guess along: Nayeon is giggly when she’s the mafia and nine times out of ten she always finds a way to blame Dahyun. Jeongyeon always has a role when she plays, usually the mafia but she gets quiet when she’s the mafia. She’s a bad liar. Momo, Sana, and Tzuyu are rarely the mafia so I’m not positive on what their traits are during the game, but Tzuyu is also a bad liar. Jihyo is probably the hardest one who crack. She also is rarely the mafia but when she is I can’t tell. Mina is also hard to crack but she’s usually the doctor. Dahyun is extremely smily when she’s the mafia, especially when she gets accused. Chaeyoung is a quiet mafia but she accuses as soon as day time comes. Jeongyeon! Jeongyeon literally has so many embarrassing pictures and videos on her laptop, literally she could blackmail the members if she really wanted. I hope you don’t overwork yourself!

They weren’t allowed as trainees to order deliveries, either due to diet restrictions or publicity restrictions. So they were pretty fucking smart ordering via a rope thru a window. Jokbal (Momo’s fave food during these early eras, not anymore tho) is Korean pig feet.

Hello. I’ve been watching your reactions videos for a while now, but I think that this is the first time that I leave a comment. But you asked so many things through this episode that I thought that I’ll give it a try. Also, I apologize in advance for my English. Oh, and I totally get how you feel about Sixteen, I watched it first time along with you, and man I was dying… that was one of the only programs that I refused to watch, but I decided watching along with you so I least I wasn’t THAT alone on my suffering lol. Also, I didn’t know that Sana was going to give up if she didn’t make it into Twice, which was so... ugh, you know? Anyway. I’ll go answering some of your doubts in the order that you were asking, I’m sorry if is messy. First: the clips that they were showing at the beginning when JYP was talking about the girls, were sneak peeks of the show, which showed contradictory things of what he was saying (ex: the girls are quiet and boring, cue to the party video) About the recording, here’s the thing: 1. They knew that there were cameras installed in the dorm, but they were told that those had been installed IN ADVANCE for the reality shooting, and were going to be put in use once the reality started. 2. As Mnet, thought that maybe they could “act” in front of the cameras and hide their real personalities and behaviors, they set up those “insiders” (spies) to try and see how the girls really behaved behind scenes. 3. One of the insiders (I think Tzuyu) turned on the cameras without they knowing, so because of this they didn’t actually know that we were been recorded. Repeat, they didn’t know that they were been recorded. They only were conscious of the real cameras that sometimes followed around and the self-cameras that they were handled to shoot some footage in advance. (You can know most of this information through the notes included on the video. In the minute 12:20 it says part of what I wrote on the point 1-3, but sadly the translation of that note was very badly done. Oh, and by the way 12:24 of your reaction video it says that the videos were taken in cooperation with the managers of twice in areas where they privacy was guaranteed; in case you’re wondering about that too) About the insiders (spies): The first spy was someone that supposedly was a new manager, only two of the real managers of Twice knew that she was part of the production of Mnet, the rest of them were actually clueless (even the others managers). By the way the one that you said that you’ve seen on Twice videos it was actually a real manager of Twice at the time, she’s Kim NaYeon (better known as Sadness Manager), she was fooled too into thinking that this insider was a new manager and she sort of took her under her wing and that’s why they interacted, and this was also the reason why the work of the first spy was mostly a fail, because she was basically dragged around for sadness manager doing real manager’s work (and because of this she almost couldn’t get a decent shot of the girls behind scenes) The second. Tzuyu. I don’t know how nobody discovered her, when you can actually see how she is recording the girls using one of the hidden cameras (a thermo) on the minute 38:13 of your reaction video. 1/2

Also, in this context PD means either “program director” or “producer director”, not private detective as you first thought; that’s why the girls call JYP PD-nim (nim, being a very respectful honorific usually used on business contexts; it literally means: Mr/Mrs/Miss) The delivery thing: As Sana said, when they wanted order something (late at night or that they weren’t supposed to be eating) they couldn’t really do it because the have vigilance cameras (CCTV) at the principal entrance, monitoring people that come in and out of the dorm. So they got “creative” and did the “window rope” thing. By the way that footage was “secretly” recorded by Tzuyu (who also was a spy at the time) Whelk= a kind of sea snail. As far as I know all the members of Twice share a dorm together, all have since the beginning of Twice (although they have moved into different apartments/houses along the years, they still live together). The best cook of Twice… that’s a tricky one, because they don’t cook that much, but once Jihyo was chosen as the best one because she once made kimchi and the girls thought that it was really good, but that was long ago (I don’t even know how I know this because I wasn’t a once at the time), a second close is Mina because she’s really focused and precise. And once Momo said that she was the best cook, but Tzuyu, Sana and Dahyun that were with her, started laughing and Sana said that she (Momo) was actually the worst. No one really knows who is the best cook in Twice but we know Momo has been improving and showing good cooking skills. She used to be really bad at it lol there was a TV program she went that asked her to cook, and she couldn’t even crack an egg properly lmao...but lately Momo/other girls have been posting a lot about Momo’s cooking and the stuff she made looked really nice.

Many people don't know that "Elegant" in korean sounds like "ooh ahh", so the song title "Like OOH-AHH(OOH-AHH하게)" also means "elegantly". Twice's Elegant Private Life(2016) is Twice's own first reality show since debut. The show name "Elegant" is related to their debut song's name.

IDK if someone has already answer your question about the dorm thing, im too lazy for read srry, but they used to live on that dorm, the one on the show, like... not to long ago. They resently move on, and by some coments of the members on vlives they still live togheter, Momo has her own room now, just as Nayeon i think, Mina and Jihyo are roomates, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu are roomates too, i dont know if Dahyun and Jeongyeon share, i think Sana has her own room too.
