Dragon King's Harem Chapter 292. The Healer Tribe II

The unicorn-drawn carriage glided to a smooth stop. Evelina and I exchanged excited glances. The healer tribe palace stood before us, a masterpiece of light and magic that seemed to defy the very essence of reality. Its luminous façade cast a gentle glow, reminiscent of snow and light mana elements melded into one. It was as if we had stepped into a palace made of dreams and enchantment.

Stepping down from the carriage, I marveled at the ethereal beauty that surrounded us. The palace's white and glowing exterior was a sight to behold, a tribute to the healer tribe's mastery of magic and their profound connection to the elements. The very air was infused with a sense of serenity and purity, an atmosphere that mirrored the tribe's commitment to healing and harmony.

Our arrival did not go unnoticed. Waiting at the entrance of the palace were the Healer King, his wife, and some high officials, their smiles warm and welcoming. It was clear that we were not just any guests– we were honored guests, and their presence affirmed our significance.

Our feet touched the palace grounds. Excitement and a touch of nervousness mingled in her eyes. I offered her a reassuring smile before turning my attention to the Healer King and his wife, acknowledging their presence with a respectful nod.

The Healer King's eyes met mine, and a genuine smile spread across his face. He stepped forward, his regal presence commanding respect and admiration. "Welcome to our humble palace, Argod," he greeted, his voice carrying a sense of warmth and sincerity.

I held my laugh since this place was far from “humble”. Indeed, it was a bit smaller than my palace but it was still an extravagant palace. I returned his smile, genuinely appreciative of the gracious reception. "Thank you for your kind welcome," I replied, the words laced with gratitude and a touch of anticipation.

The Healer King's gaze shifted, his attention now fixed on Evelina. His smile grew wider, a fatherly affection evident in his expression. "Welcome home, Evelina," he said, his words resonating with a depth of emotion that words alone couldn't capture.

Evelina's voice carried a mixture of joy and sentiment as she responded, "Father, I’m home." Without hesitation, she closed the distance between them, running into his open arms for a heartfelt embrace. Then she went to hug her mother.

Watching the reunion unfold before me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. A family bond was something I never experienced before. Well, maybe I had experienced it, but I already forgot about it.

As the hug between Evelina and her father gently loosened, their smiles spoke volumes. It was a reunion filled with a depth of emotion that mere words could hardly convey. The Healer King's eyes glistened with pride and happiness, his daughter's return filling a void that had long lingered in his heart.

"Congratulations, Evelina," he said, his voice brimming with joy. "You've become the dragon king's wife," he added, his tone a mix of genuine happiness and a touch of playful teasing.

Evelina's laughter filled the air, her eyes shining with a mixture of happiness and pride. "Thank you, Father," she responded, her voice carrying a note of contentment.

Beside him, the Healer Queen shared in the sentiment. Her eyes danced with affection as she gazed at her daughter. "Congratulations, my dear. Your dream has come true," she said, her words a testament to a mother's boundless love and support.

Evelina's smile widened, her joy evident as she met her mother's gaze. "Thank you, Mother," she replied, a sense of fulfillment resonating in her voice.

As the warmth of the reunion enveloped them, Evelina turned to me, her expression a mix of happiness and gratitude. "And I have you to thank as well," she said, her eyes locking onto mine.

I met her gaze, a tender smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "I'm glad to hear that you're happy," I replied, my voice sincere.

Evelina's voice was filled with appreciation as she continued, "You treated me well, and I couldn't be happier to be by your side."

"I'm just glad I could be there for you," I admitted, my words carrying a mixture of fondness and gratitude.

The Healer King's gaze shifted to me, his eyes carrying a depth of gratitude that words couldn't fully express. "Thank you for your kindness and protection, Argod," he said, his voice sincere.

I offered him a nod, my response a reflection of the respect I held for their tribe and their daughter. "It's been an honor to offer our assistance," I replied, my tone humble.

With a warm smile, the Healer King extended his hand toward the palace. "Please, join us inside. We have much to discuss," he invited, his gesture welcoming.

Entering the palace, I couldn't help but be taken aback by the sheer elegance that surrounded us. Crystals adorned the walls, emitting a soft, enchanting glow that bathed the interior in a captivating radiance. It was a breathtaking sight, one that spoke of a refined taste and a dedication to aesthetics.

Yet, amidst the beauty, there was an underlying sense of fragility. It was as if every crystal, every decoration, had been placed with the utmost care, embodying the essence of the healer tribe's nurturing nature. This was a place where everything tended to, where every detail mattered, and where the artistry of the surroundings was a reflection of the tribe's commitment to healing and care.

As we made our way through the palace, we were greeted by a grand hall that seemed to glow with warmth. A table laden with an array of delicious dishes awaited us, including for Eir and the other dragon soldiers.

The Healer King, with a gesture as graceful as his demeanor, invited us to take a seat.  With a gentle smile, I addressed the Healer King. "Thank you for the warm welcome. But before we delve into our discussions, I would like to present you with a token of our gratitude," I said, my tone earnest.
