Third Arc (Fallen Heart) - 105. The Royal Couple's Night Walk IV

Angel's evil laughter broke the hall's silence. It made everyone turn to them. Including the actors.

"How dare you claim you are the king?" he said in a cold voice.

He stood up from his chair and walked onto the stage. His eyes stared intently at the two actors.
"Both of you are fake. Yet you try to claim my throne, cooperate with the enemy and lead the people into chaos!" he said in a cynical tone.

The actor pointed his sword at Angel. While others looked confused since this was not in the script.

His act was followed by Rose's cynical laugh. Just like Angel she also walked onto the stage. But from a different side. Her goal was to take the injured actor as far as possible. Even though she didn't have a weapon, that angry actor was not a real warrior nor a soldier so she was confident enough that she could beat her easily, barehanded.

"Some peasants didn't know their places, Your Majesty," Rose added without stopping her steps.

Angel stopped near the actor, in the middle of the stage.
"You two are just my double, my spies to keep an eye on the enemy. How dare you try to claim yourself as me?" said Angel coldly.

"Who are you?! I don't know who you are!" said the actor angrily, pointing his sword at Angel.

But Angel easily bound the actor with his dark aura. But since the actor was just an ordinary person, Angel only used a bit of his power to bind him.

His aura was almost invisible. So what the others saw was the actor dropping his sword before he fell to his knees. After that, no matter how much he struggled to free himself, his body stiffened like a statue.

"I'm the only king in this kingdom!" claimed Angel. Angel's hand removed his mask without hesitation as if all of this was scripted.

All the actors gasped in shock after they realized the one in front of them was a real thing. They were quickly on their knees and bowed to him.
"Y-Your Majesty..." they stammered.

While the guests gasped because of another thing. They were shocked that the opera house could have an actor who had the same face as the king.

He let out his evil laughter before he turned to the guests.
"And all of you... Should also bow to me..." he exclaimed.

His cold gaze made all guests shudder. None of them raised their voices. Their hearts were pounding. If the king wasn't wearing a commoner suit maybe they thought they were dealing with the real king.

Smirking evilly, he raised his hand and snapped his fingers. His dark aura cut the rope and made the curtain fall.

As the curtain covered the stage, he swung his right hand to his left chest and flexed his leg back a bit. His other hand was behind him. A signature of an actor had completed his performance. The difference was that he didn't bend his head. He looked at the guests as himself. A king, not an actor.

Once the curtain touched the floor, thunderous applause sounded loudly in the hall. All the guests didn't expect this extradition play.

Despite the show being a success, what happened behind the scenes was different. All the actors and actresses did not dare to stand up or raise their heads. Their faces were pale. Cold sweat dripped down their foreheads and palms.

"Raise up. I came to watch the play not to punish you." He took his mask and wore it before he walked to Rose.

Due to his orders, they stood up.
"B-But why didn't you inform us of your arrival, Your Majesty?" asked one of them.

"It's just an informal one, not an official visit. Besides all the guests wearing masks, I don't think it's necessary," he said. His hand gestured at one of the actors, ordering him to go backstage and find out what was going on. But no one understood his orders.

'Oh right, they're not real soldiers,' he thought.

"You and you." He pointed to random people.
"Check what happened to your friends." Then he pointed to the other two.
"You and you. Call the patrol and tell them what happened. But don't say a word about me. I will not interfere with this case." He guessed this case was due to a personal grudge.

After answering him with a nod, they carried out his orders.
