Production Update! 7.16.20 (Patreon)

Hello near and dear patrons!

Though we battled with some personal loss and technical issues, this has still been a productive week. We're proud to say a new and robust animation computer, henceforth named Raph, will join the team this weekend, and with it our eager energy to progress with episode 1! Until then, we have this to share:

- Audio Update: Episodes 4 and 5 have joined our rough cut ranks, marking the halfway point! We learn more with every step, and anticipate finishing them up and getting the few needed retakes collected before the month is out. Then we'll search the budget to reach out for professional audio mixing aid in order to keep every aspect of the show as high production as possible. Something the audio is reminding us of is just how much we love this story and can't wait to share it with you. The voice talent bringing it to life makes us all the more excited about how far it's come and how much farther we intend to take it. We're nothing short of overwhelmed and thrilled for the people we've gotten to work with and the help you've given us so far.

- Other Update: Oo, aah, a new update category! This is to fill you in on miscellaneous news. We'll be sinking into a creative paradise this coming week to our annual retreat in the secret wilderness of Wisconsin, where you can bet we'll be happily buzzing away at West Patch progress. It just also means internet might be spotty, but we'll see what we can do! We're also nearing completion on a project that's been hanging over us from last year, and once it's done we'll have only more time to devote to the West Patch. Who would be so silly as to sign up for a 20 minute animatic pilot? We would! And you can bet we'll share it once it's done and finally out of the way of our dear dark satire baby. As the West Patch moves forward, we're hoping to intersperse more short-form animation between episodes as spare time allows (and so that our unemployed team-mate can feel more productive), but you can bet our priority is to get ten episodes of this web series all polished and done. It's not our fault the lovely voice talent we've gotten to work with inspires so many future ideas! And as you support our passion, future works feel all the more within reach. 

Well that was a bit sappier than usual, but we're nearly three months in! If this were a high school romance, we'd be planning a special anniversary surprise. Hmm, not a bad idea...
