Oops, All JackofBullets this month! He's being kind enough to cover my ass when I get caught up, because Kaylee 23 went way over schedule. The comic is about an experimental chewing gum that works like an everlasting gobstopper, letting someone chew it forever without it ever losing flavor... But after a test subject swallows the gum, she starts to grow uncontrollably.

And speaking of which... Kaylee 23 won't be done until the 10th or 11th, at least. This is on me, and I'm sorry! I'm trying to get the remaining renders knocked out quickly... Which is difficult when I'm usually waiting most of the day for last night's renders to finish.  Or in this case, waiting close to two days to get caught up. So I'm going to do something I should have done a long time ago, and upgrade my PC again! I always put off upgrading, and every time I upgrade, I wish I would've done it a whole lot sooner.

I'm thinking I'll probably just replace my 3090 TI with a 4090. That should render almost twice as fast as the 3090, plus it's more power efficient and generally doesn't run as hot. But there is another option: getting a second 3090 TI.

Having dual 3090 TI's would render about 20-30% faster than the 4090, and would allow me to have a whopping 48 GB of VRAM, up from the 24 GB of VRAM that either a single 3090 TI or a 4090 would give me... But I might need to get a new case with new fans, and a new PSU, and that can get pretty expensive, pretty quickly! Not to mention that the room gets insanely hot when it's rendering right now, and that would only get worse.

Having the extra VRAM could be nice, but it's usually not that big of a constraint, because DAZ just struggles to handle big scenes for other reasons anyway. So I'm leaning towards the 4090, even though another 3090 TI would be better in some regards. People who know PC specs, let me know what you think!

You might be able to do a 4090 + 3090ti setup as they both have the same vram size

no gpu spliting for anything is nightmare trust me always get most powerful single thing you can get if need more VRAM get nivida server cards

That would work but unlike dual 3090 TI's, it wouldn't increase total VRAM, and it would still have the overheating and power issues that a dual 3090 rig would run

I don't think rendering on a server is really a viable option for this software
