I know I said I'd do OAG next, but... part of me wants to just stay focused on the Kaylee series until it's finished. I'm never great at switching gears, and I'm not sure I'd be able to focus on a different comic when Kaylee is just one 1-2 chapters away from completion. I want to be able to focus whole-heartedly on the next (and last?) chapter of OAG when I make it, not feel like it's a minor inconvenience that I have to do before I finish Kaylee.

I'd say go big for the Kaylee finish

All I'm gonna say is if you finish Kaylee soon...you better figure out how to make another attention grabber like it...

Whatever you do Im down for it. But, sticking with Kaylee would be cool can’t wait to see where it goes from the last chapter.

I think you should take a break and really think about what you want Kaylee because it's a very long series, and you're likely to keep extending it. I would try to OAG and really think deeply do I want to end it in 2 to 4 chapters. Is there really two to four chapters. What if you get there and realise there's actually more interesting story you can squeeze out etc. How exactly are you going to end it etc. I mean you've already repeatly said the end is soon and have massively extended it. I love Kaylee and would like to be extended as long as possible. I mean any story can be infinitely long if enough labour time is worked on them. So I mean I'd do OAG just think about those big questions which should be addressed during that mouth in passive reflection while you work on OAG. You could always break up Kaylee into Books as well if you want to complete a whole story arc.

Without having read Kaylee 21, I would be of the mindset to stay focused on Kaylee. If the story is that close to a penultimate conclusion (as poignant as it is for me to even consider), I know I would have a difficult time focusing on other projects. With that being said, I hope the story goes out with a 'Bang'!

Yeah, that is a good point. There is the potential for the rest of the series to be more than one (or even two) chapters... but I don't want to rush it out the door for the sake of it! On the flipside, though, if I do delay it, I'll probably want to wait at least a couple months before the next chapter, if for no other reason than tax season is coming up soon, and I don't want to take on anything too big in April.

Haha, that is true! I have some ideas for series that I think could be big (Emma Shrinks the World for one,) but I also want to experiment with doing more short 1-2 chapter growth comics. I want to have more comics that are paced a bit like Kaylee 21 was, but as standalone comics, where a character starts out small and grows huge over the course of the chapter. Of course, that could get repetitive if I did too many of those! I also have plans for a follow-up to a very old series of mine...

I have a few 1-6 chapter comics that I think could be redone very well by you...the "realistic" artwork you provide with their storyline (some editing may be needed) I think would be very popular...if it interests you I could send a private email with ideas.

So no matter what, you are a great artist and story teller! So you should follow the stories and art you feel will inspire you the most now. Even if it's a break from both comic series, or smaller projects.

I think it's a good idea to stay focused on Kaylee, the story's pretty hot right now and if we only have 1-2 chapters left, staying focused is critical, unless you already have a draft of the remaining story.

I'm personally more interested in Kaylee
