Hey there, everybody.

It's been a while since any significant updates have happened. I'm here to shed some light on why.

The most obvious reason being that I started a new job a couple months ago. I'm very grateful for it, but it's also been taking up quite a lot of time. That being said, I'm still working on the game when I'm able to. Which leads in to the second reason behind this update's lengthy development.

Refactoring, refactoring, refactoring.

"Refactoring is a disciplined technique for restructuring  an existing body of code, altering its internal structure without  changing its external behavior." (Refactoring.com)

Refactoring code is what a majority of development has been lately. Just taking what's already there and making it run more efficiently. Of course there will be new things when the actual update releases. But the past few months for me have been reconstructing code without making things break. That's why I haven't had much new to share as of late. Most of my recently accomplishments are things you're already familiar with. The only difference is under the hood.

The reason I'm doing all this refactoring in the first place is so updating in the future is a bit easier. So look at this as the one big hump we gotta get over, then it should be smoother sailing from there (if I can stop myself from scope creeping).

I really can't give a release date just yet. But it would be really nice if I could get this out before the end of Summer. I can't make any guarantees though.

In the mean time, I've been trying to think of ways to help tie you all over. Do game dev streams sounds appealing to anyone? If so, I can see if I can try to set up a schedule of sorts. Feel free to let me know of any other ideas you may have as well.
