Absolutely brilliant miniature. I am really keen on learning how you painted the skin, Andy. And also excited about the secret project. After the NOVA reveals, I keep wondering about what you said about fancying to paint a Red Scorpion if GW released a multi part Terminator Captain… 🤞

I love the violet light, it’s beautiful. I’m really curious what your opinions on varnishing display pieces is Andy? Have you varnished this mini or are you trying to let the subtle differences between the innate paint finishes come through?

This one I left with no varnish. The cloak has a satin finish from the paints I really want to keep. The brown mud is a little more matte so there are very subtle things in the finish I like. The skin is very satin also. Sometimes I do matte my miniatures because it benefits them, but in most cases I like display minis to be unvarnished.
