I kike the way that the area where the missed seam line was removed looks like a battle damage repair on the finished mini.

The seals look great! I did something similar with my Custodes Vexilla. Vallejo Deck Tan base with a Sepia wash to set the shadows before going back over with a thinned deck tan. I start on the edges of the parchment and make lines to the middle.
