Cultists,

Here is part 2 for Eltharion, but it also a generic video on how to paint cloaks with no airbrush, and hopefully some good layering tips too. It has come up a lot in discussion recently, and I realised many people were struggling with dilution and brush strokes for these things. I have tried to talk address these things in this video.

In the Lion videos we combined airbrush with brush. In this video I use just the brush, as I have a pure airbrush video coming this month two. Hopefully it's nice for you to see the 3 combinations of our tools.

Im happier with the audio quality my new mic is producing, but a little sad it makes those weird fuzzy sounds occasionally. If anyone knows what it could be please reach out. Im using a Rode Videomic Pro-R.

Colour recipe is the easiest yet! And I would even be tempted to not use Nighltords blue and just the two paints.

GW Nighlords Blue

Scale Cantabric Blue

Scale Bering Blue

Next week We will have the final instalment. Any of you guys missing 40k Tutorials? AOS is really doing it for me at the moment. I’m waiting for something great from 40k that excites me. As always, wanting to know your thoughts.

Cheers,

Andy

Happy to hear about 40k or AoS, particularly as I have the limited Army box of Lumineth on my shelf to paint in the future! I would say keep on painting what your inspired to paint, its always good to feel the enthusiasm you have in a video alongside the technical details, and keeping motivation high for these videos is good for us all.

Great video and really inspiring colour scheme, I’m sorely tempted to get some Lumineth (don’t tell the wife!)..... just wondering, how did you paint the underside of the cloak? Was it the same colours or lean more towards the night lords blue with highlights just where the corner turns up? Or did you do it a different colour? Cheers
