Aw the short one, that's fine, dont think it is movie breakking but I haven't watched the theatrical since the theater so I have no clue. As with most snyder movies, if you are confused: there is a directors cut for it.

God I fucking love this movie and graphic novel. I always sob when Rorschach dies. Mainly because of Daniel reacting to it. Because you see like his innocence die with his best friend. Which breaks my heart every time. You are right to compare Adrian with Alien’s David because in Covenant he says the Ozymandias quote. “My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings: Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!”

One of my absolute favorite movies, glad you had a hood time with it. If you ever do a rewatch like you were saying, move up to the director's cut, it's only about 20 minutes longer I think but quite a bit of good stuff that would probably make it less confusing. Also, it is an alternate reality version of history, Nixon didnt have 5 terms or anything like that. The only superhero is Dr. Manhatten, everyone else just appear to be super strong and stuff because of snyder's directing style, Adrien could maybe be said to have superhuman smarts and speed (him catching the bullet is an example of that and is foreshadowed in the longer cuts).

I'm so glad you liked the film! I always love your intelligent and relatable perspective on social issue stuff like what's presented in this movie. Would be awesome to see what you think of the HBO mini-series which I think you would LOVE! It won 11 Emmy awards and is such tightly knit storytelling and wonderful cinematography that even my 70 year old mom, who had never seen this film, thought was amazing.
