If you liked this (Seems you did :D ), I can recommend two movies. Legend (with Tom Cruise, Mia Sara, and God - I mean Tim Curry. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089469 And a real hidden gem. Ladyhawke. (Mathew Broderick, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Alfred Molina) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089457 They were both filmed in 1985. (The Neverending Story, Labyrinth, and The Princess Bride are good too, but I assume you've seen those. ) Also- I just remembered Clue. Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd, and a bunch of other people you'll recognize if you like 80's comedy. ------------- James Horner was one of my favorite movie composers. He did An American Tail, The Land Before Time, The Rocketeer (Which you may know), Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and MANY others. (American Tail and Land Before Time are must watch cartoons) Oh, he also did the music for Titanic too. He's one of the masters of movie scores. --------------- Val Kilmer movies - Top Gun (One of the classics), The Doors, The Saint. Top Secret, Heat. (Also! The Ghost and the Darkness with Hank Pym himself Michael Douglas) He did the voice of Moses in The Prince of Egypt He was also Batman in Batman Forever. Hey Mary, love the reactions! I wondered if I might recommend some movies, if you haven't already seen them! Gone Girl: it's a fantastic mystery that doubles as a serious feminist thinkpiece. I think it'll make for an incredible reaction as you and new viewers puzzle through what's happening. Stars Ben Affleck and the incredible Roseumund Pike. Troy: if you want another epic in the vein of Lord if the Rings and Game of Thrones: you have to watch Troy (2004). Aussie legend Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom (Legolas --- which you already know lol), and led by Brad Pitt at his best. War of the Worlds: Alien Invasion at it's best. Chronicle: if you're looking for something different: Chronicle is a realistic take on what happens when three high schoolers get super powers. Michael B Jordan is in this. Can't wait to watch the Willow reaction! Love your stuff!

Also, if you're prepared for one if the best films of the 21st century directed by the one of the best directors EVER, Children of Men is a great watch!

If I remember correctly, Willow was capitalizing on the success of Labyrinth, which was building on the success of Legend. All of those movies came out because of the success of D&D.

My mother asked where this was filmed last time we watched it as well. Based on LOTR and virtually every other fantasy film and show,I facetiously said, “New Zealand”. Turns out I was right.
