"Miss the shuttle" they did indeed. I'd call the shuttle being totally sliced in half and blown up "missing it". ;) It's so weird to see someone wearing what looks like a sweater when we're in the middle of a heat wave. I'm trying to do the mental math, and it feels like Black Widow will come out... before the sixth episode of Loki does? Is that right? Ok so Episode 6 airs on July 14, Black Widow releases on July 9. I'm 98% sure that doesn't matter. I don't think they'll have anything to do with each other, because Black Widow is set in the...past... and Loki is.... a show about Time Travel.... No, no. It's just... July 9th was a better release date than July 16. And... they couldn't have started Loki a week early... because... uh... they weren't done with it yet? It obviously wasn't ready! Anyway, enough stalling, time to hit play... in about 10 minutes or so after Dinner is ready.

Ok, just watched the episode, full spoilers. I actually did suspect that "pruning" wasn't the same as killing, from the first guy. When they "pruned" the guy for not grabbing a ticket in that opening scene, the kid who's dad worked at the bank, I thought "Ok, they're a bit too casual about the killing of people". But, it could have been that they just, WERE casual about the killing of people. I wonder if we will get to meet "Tour de France winner" Loki? https://static2.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Loki-Episode-2-Tour-De-France-Loki-Variant.jpg Maybe it will be important to run a bicycle based power generator, and he will be the hero we all need. I like that C-15 took Sylvie back to the store to talk, a subtle reminder of the arguably easy to forget scene when Sylvie mind controlled her, before we even knew who Sylvie even was. I'm not sure how Loki and Sylvie growing close right before the planet was destroyed would register, except that they were specifically looking at Doomsday events (Because it would have alerted them instantly if they went anywhere else, as Sylvie said, she sent up a flair the second she arrived anywhere), also they do say they turned up the machines, to notice small things that they would otherwise ignore. Another question I have. Why are they keeping the "pruned" people alive? If the TVA wanted Loki and Sylvie dead, all they had to do was leave them on the doomed planet. Or they could use an actual weapon to kill them. So they must want them alive. The ending scene. So we have Kid Loki. I wonder how long until he meets, the other kids. There are the two from WandaVision, Ant Man's Daughter, Spider-Man (Unless he's too old now). Hawkeye had a daughter right? Wonder if he's still teaching her to use a bow. Tony Stark's daughter too. I would watch that team. Maybe someone from Wakanda as the team "brain". I think the Alligator is another Loki, and not just a "pet" to kid Loki. I wonder what Kid Loki did to become a variant? So then we have Old Loki in the old Traditional Loki costume. I think he's the one that actually spoke. Lastly... we have... Black ....Thor? This does not seem in any way to be a Loki. Do we actually get a THOR variant? He has a hammer it seems he made himself out of a wrench and an anvil, or something. In the background there's a destroyed modern city. So maybe this is post-apocalypse. Seem to still be plant life, so that's good. I feel like a lot of the conversations in this episode will have more meaning upon re-watch.

I agree, I never thought pruning was killing. I wondered if Mobius got pruned after every case and the "other analyst" was just him having had his memories wiped in the prune process.
