Glad I waited for the uncut version. Gave me an excuse to watch the film again, as its been a long time since I've watched it. As for the sequels the 2nd film Aliens is most definitely worth a watch. After that its hard to fully recommend the rest of the films.

Mary, You did good. You were very brave. BUT... You HAVE to see the sequel "ALIENS" to see what happened to Ripley. And the sequel is a JAMES CAMERON film so... 😊 it will be a cinema SIN to miss it. 😁👌 Many would say, the 1st sequel is better than the original.

That was so worth it for me! Lmao It’s been so long since I seen someone react like that to a film! I hope at the very least you watch Aliens to see the character Ripley evolve a bit. You really don’t have to bother past that. Also I hope this means you’ll watch the 80’s Predator movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. That one should be an easy watch. Faster pace and more of an action film.

That was a great reaction, Mary! Thank you! And, yes, the sequel, Aliens, is definitely worth the watch. Sigourney does return, and it was co-written and directed by James Cameron himself. So, this is pretty much a "must watch" -- esp. if you liked Alien. Besides, how can you stay away and leave Ripley and Jonesy floating in the cold of deep space? I'm sure they're waiting for you to return. --- Btw, I should also mention that there are two versions of Aliens: Theatrical (137 min.) and Special Edition (154 min.). I highly recommend the Special Edition version.

So, Mary, your experience looks a lot more like "I'm being traumatized" than "I'm enjoying a scary movie." I hope you're okay. I know you've reacted to Aliens (my favorite of the lot), I'm going to check it out to see how you handle zillions of them when this one was going to make you barf. Nice work with the fuchsia, that's my favorite to see someone wear (I do the tips of my beard that color too.) Now, 1. stop looking at how much time you have left in a film, that's not something you'd know in a theater so you have to just go with it - especially for a horror film. And 2. I know you're young; when I see anyone looking down at their phone or other toy instead of eyes-on-screen it's got me wanting to kick through five screen doors. Shame on you.
