I thought I was going mad trying to sync up 🤣

I've done some investigating as to why there is a discrepancy between the Binge version of BB vs. IMDB/Netflix/Amazon/iTunes/etc. My best guess is that the version on Binge was edited to meet the requirements of the Australian Classification film ratings. On their website, https://www.classification.gov.au/search/title?search=batman%20begins&sort_by=search_api_relevance&f%5B0%5D=category%3AF, there are a variety of shorter run lengths. The closest I could find is 131 minutes (vs. Binge's 134 min. and IMDB's 140 min.) Unfortunately, I don't think a simple time-stretch by increasing the runtime by 6 min. (i.e., decrease play speed to 0.9571 of normal) will do it because (I surmise) there are scenes missing from the Binge cut of the movie. --- Even if a simple time stretch was the solution, unfortunately, resampling the movie from 60 fps to 25 fps will not fix it. The video needs to be played at a slower speed (0.9571x in this case). If you look at the YouTube videos linked on this post and the original, you can see the the final result is 2:12:06 in both cases. So, resampling didn't change the run-time. For future reference, I did try to do the time stretch before I realized it wouldn't help. Here's the ffmpeg command line to time stretch the picture (0.9571x) but maintain the audio pitch (1.04478x): ffmpeg -i "Batman Begins Uncut Reaction-aUDI6NI7KxA.mkv" -filter_complex "[0:v]setpts=0.9571*PTS[v];[0:a]atempo=1.04478[a]" -map "[v]" -map "[a]" output.mkv Note that 1/0.9571 = 1.04478. -- - It looks like The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises have also been edited on Binge.

Fun fact: the scenery in the beginning with all the icy mountains is the same location that Christopher Nolan filmed for the Icy planet in Interstellar!

This did nothing

That was a fun re-watch with you, Mary. Keep up the entertaining videos. Thanks.

Correct, but I watched the same copy (Foxtel/Binge/1080i25), so it worked for me. The timecode is now completely wrong though. D'oh! The reason, as Ron worked out, is that changing the frame rate in an NLE merely does a resample, so 1080p24 viewers have to use the 'speed up' tool and enter a <1 factor instead. i.e. increase the duration of the clip, because Mary watched it at a faster speed.
