Hellooooo. sorry for delay. it got blocked for visual claims twice so i had to use the youtube editor to blur the screen annoyingly. and it took the whole day to process. Also I couldn't go in and edit the intro (trim it) because a blur had been applied (dumb) so please excuse the intro T____T skip to 1 minute and 10 seconds for the actual intro.

It shows how hard it is to make these movies because the fans want MORE fight between Hulk and Abomination rather than less and being established characters within the Marvel Universe you can’t just make the General the Abomination becauset sales Emil Blonsky IS The Abomination. You could do the Hulk vs Red Hulk (which IS the General hulk’d up) but fans were demanding the Abomination storyline and after they shredded the previous Hulk movie they wanted to do the storyline the fans wanted. BUT it shows that you can’t make your money back by only giving the fans what they want because the majority of ticket sales are to ppl like yourselves who don’t know that Hulk vs Abomination is THE storyline or that Abomination comes with a back story that you can’t just switch with another character with there own established backstory etc etc. So it’s extra hard to make a movie and fit years of character development into a single movie. Once they started listening to Kevin Feige and letting him map out a whole decade of storyline to spread throughout multiple characters movies they started to put things in early on that would allow more natural build towards certain fan favourite moments (eg the character that eventually becomes a Captain America fan favourite enemy is introduced two movies before he becomes that enemy which allowed them to make his eventual fight with Cap AS that bad guy a pivotal moment without having to build a whole movie around it and allowing the movie itself to focus on a grander storyline - I’m being deliberately vague to save you from spoilers) but back at this time they didn’t have the trust of the audience and track record with the bean counters so they did the old “shove storyline moments together and hope the fans forgive the clunkiness” move.

Couple of notes and nuggets: -For the future movies, they had to change actors for Bruce Banner/Hulk so don't be surprised if he's different in the Avengers -You know when he talks about World War II and the Super Soldier thing, remember that reference for when you get to Captain America ;-) -The bad guy, Tim Roth, in the movie, he was in Pulp Fiction as the guy that robbed the diner with his wife -Stan Lee was the one that drank the blood filled *shudders* soda. See if you can find him in the future MCU movies, he's in all of them and he's very beloved <3 -the security guard(the one you called "strong man") that bruce gave the "extra medium" pizza played the hulk in a tv show in the 70s, his name is Lou Ferrigno. That was just another fun little easter egg -hulk and banner are like two different entities. It'll make a lot more sense in the latter movies

This is the most fun I have EVER had “watching” The Incredible Hulk. Your sister definitely added to this reaction :) It’s a shame she has already seen some of the later movies but her confusion reiterates why it’s important to see the MCU in release order. This movie used a montage of flashbacks and screenshots in the beginning to briefly explain how Bruce Banner became the Hulk which is awkward to say the least. Glad you enjoyed seeing Liv Tyler as Betty Ross. She always puts a smile on my face as well. The scene at the end with Tony Stark is the “credit scene” and is the only one that takes place prior to the credits starting. As already mentioned, Bruce Banner is recast for later movies due to artistic differences. FYI, Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Tony Stark’s friend played by Terrance Howard in the first film, is also recast starting in Iron Man 2 with Don Cheadle. However, there are surprisingly few actor recasts throughout the MCU’s 23 films (to date).

Something else that a lot of young reacters miss is the scene near the beginning from The Courtship of Eddie's Father, which starred Bill Bixby, who played Bruce Banner in the 70s TV adaptation of The Incredible Hulk.
