Finn was supposed to tell Rey he was force sensitive, He felt Rey die at the end, The lightsaber stuff and breaking the storm trooper conditioning in Force Awakens was a hint to that. But it was dropped in The Last Jedi, Disney did him dirty, Also the Emperor was a clone that's why his body was decaying as it was unable to tolerate the Dark Side energy. His son was a failed none force aware clone, he wanted to use Rey as a host as she was not a clone. All of this is in the Novel for the movie. Rey was originally gonna be related to Obi Wan.

Oh I can't wait to see what you think! I hope you don't hate it too badly. This is one of my favorites despite it's flaws. It's true that very little of these films were planned in advance. However for me, Star Wars has always transcended that. For example, George Lucas didn't intend for Luke and Leia to be siblings until the filming of Ep6. Star Wars has always just evolved as it progressed, and it doesn't work for everyone especially the fans. I love all the films, and I'm definitely not alone (I run an instagram page dedicated to SW) but when someone dislikes the sequels that's totally OK. I'm so happy you loved the originals.

oh i wish you could've seen it through early access--once i hit 'premiere' on a video, it becomes unavailable as 'unlisted' -- i definitely don't hate it, cos that's way too strong of a word. it was enjoyable. i feel mixed. :) loads of questions afterwards

I like the conclusion, my fav of the sequel trilogy is Episode 8, but nothing like the original trilogy. As for Clone Wars I do understand is too much work reacting to every episode. Maybe react to the last 4 episodes of season 5 and the last 4 episodes of season 7. There are a lot of good episodes, but in these episodes are events really meaningfuls for the whole saga.
