I love Higurashi. It's a little messy and pacing can feel off sometimes, but it's very captivating and the second season is actually so good. Oh and the ending of the first season is goated for me. The way they integrated the preview for the next episode is mesmerizing.

Eternals Developing

Since there seems to have been no comments made on this (at least none that I can see), I will give my ratings. Before I do, however, I will rant a little bit about the title. ひぐらしのなく頃に actually translates more accurately into "When the cicada sings" and refers to the chirping sounds of insects that can often be heard in the background during a lot of important scenes in the show. I am not a fan of how it has been translated into "Higurashi: When they cry". With my rant out of the way, here are my ratings. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (first season): 9/10 Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Kai (second season): 10/10 Overall if it ended here: 10/10 Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Rei (third season): 5/10 Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Kira (fourth season): 3/10 Overall if you include Rei and Kira: 7/10 Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Gou (fifth season): 6/10 Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Sotsu (final season): 0/10 Overall if you also include Gou and Sotsu: 3/10
