I really don't have issues with the pacing. I dont mind the flashbacks and even most of the fillers in this arc I think are really cool.

it's so funny to me that ppl complain about pacing in Naruto. Naruto took hiatus route so it's like 50/50 filler/cannon with a decend amount of pushing memories where it's possible. But there's a One Piece which adapt one chapter per episode sometimes less. If you skip Naruto fillers it's really decent run for a weekly Jump shounen adaptation if you ask me :D
