Let me know your thoughts on the series and whether you would actually watch Boruto reactions or if you think it should be a different series instead!

Void

Yes but skip a lot of it. Only watch manga canon and some good anime canon arcs

Julien jackson

I will say. It starts off very slow for reasons I cannot say. But once it gets into manga cannon it is easily on shippuden lvl. Boruto is amazing.

Endles5

With all my Love for Naruto, Boruto has great moments, but they are in between a lot of fillers, and even some of the canon arcs are kinda meh. Due to that I would say, watch it, but a lot will have to be skipped.

UKKeliteBen

You should definitely watch it but its slow at the beginning

Emilio Ooo

I’d still watch but there’s a lot of really shit episodes

Enton Kagutsuchi

Yes bro the show is really good. I know some fans gives flack cos there are new main characters & not the OG main cast but honestly the show is very good. Further info can spoil you for your reactions for shippuden. Love your reactions bro 👍😁

I'd watch the manga canon, but I don't think there's that much of it

Anonymous

Watch it but just keep in mind that it’s not the same until later in the manga cannon.

Strix123

There are some boruto moments that top even some of peak shippuden for me. Definitely worth reacting to

I really recommend not to watch it. If you want to watch it only watch canon episodes from the manga. You also could watch the movie but the 3 episodes in thee anime are better animated. In short: Boruto as a whole is not worth it. Only watch the few episodes which are directly from the manga AND don´t expect Boruto to be on the same level of Naruto Shippuden because it´s not.

Yes. It’s a good show. It gives a lot of callbacks to OG Naruto, lets the kids be kids, and offers a lot of worldbuilding and character development, even in the so-called “filler” episodes. You’ll really love how the kid characters reflect their parents and yet are their own people, and the show offers a lot of good storylines (**Possibly spoilery? Just mentioning some themes here, no specifics**): about how shinobi fit into a modernized world, how a world at peace still has to deal with remnants of a violent past, how a new generation matures differently than the previous “more skilled” one. Plus a lot of fun features of old favorite characters.

Kelsey

Boruto is only 8.5% filler so please don't think that the anime canon episodes are filler. The slow start for Boruto makes a ton of sense for the development and the story. I'd say watch the anime canon and the manga canon but if you wanna skip the actual fillers then go ahead but if you just watch the manga canon you aren't getting anything out of the show for the story or the character development. Boruto is still ongoing and you'd catch up eventually anyway so you might as well get as much as you can out of it instead of skipping a majority of the information.

Christopher Wells

I'd rather you not but if you do skip the filler

Rioichi

The problem I have with boruto is I'm not really attached to the main characters. I'm watching the adults in the background to see what happened to them after shippuden.

Listen and this is a hot take but hear me out. Alot of naruto's broken plot points were ignored because alot of us were young when it came but it restarts again in boruto. Also the beginning of boruto has a different author but if you read the manga, it pops off so hard that it is arguably better and better paced that naruto was. Masashi kishimoto and the other dude learned from their mistakes in the past except they both don't know how to write a female character loool (Sakura, Ten Ten, Etc). But because he knows alot of his fan base is older he's not afraid to remove plot armor because kids can't handle it as much as we do. Last thing is, we all know how filler episodes fuck with the continuity of the story but keep in mind that Boruto is written and published once a month, compared to the weekly shonnen mangas. So basically 12 chapters a year that they have to fill weekly in anime you know? It's tough but when it comes to a story this big, with this large of a fanbase they can't make the same mistake like they did before and wing it, they have to make sure that power levels are stable, how characters thinking is equal to their minds, etc. Sure the fillers are hit or miss but you can just watch only the fillers and I promised you'll be hooked. You'll cry and laugh and be excited as much or more then you were with naruto.

Yes please watch it. And watch the anime canon as Well! Its necessary for story building and to get to know the characters. Its a Very good show, with amazing moments. Some quite slow arcs, as with any longer anime, but overall its a Very good anime and I would love for You to react to it!

Animeter

The boruto Anime is a gigantic filler... Only a few episodes are good.

I apologize to Boruto enjoyers for an upcoming rant. It's been a major letdown for me, I even regret watching it if I'm completely honest. I have never seen anime so predictable, with so many troupes in it and without anything that made Shippuden what it was. Pretty much the same amount of fillers but now they're called cannon lol. Character work is abysmal, villain designs are ok but their characters are super one dimensional. I swear all Boruto villains remind me of Shippuden's filler villains. Very disappointing development for Shippuden characters in Boruto. Soundtrack is a massive downgrade. The animation has changed, in some cases for better but the overall Konoha vibe is gone in Boruto forever. Fight animations are insane, I'll give it that much credit, but there were 2 big fights so far, and it's been running for almost 250 episodes already, which is sad to say the least, considering how many major fights OG Naruto had in the same amount of episodes. I watched up until the beginning of the new arc but since Demon Slayer is coming out on the same day, I didn't even remember to check out the new Boruto episodes. It's almost pitiful to compare any of TV Tokyo's projects to what other producers are doing. They cannot improve on Naruto/Bleach/OPM for almost 2 decades now and they're not even letting it go. I just wished they sold rights to another studio or just came up with a new shounen instead of remaking Naruto and Bleach everytime. Rant over.

I personally was If-y with Boruto myself . After completing Naruto I couldn’t Imagine anything EVER coming close to it. It is absolutely my favorite Anime of all time. Although I have recently fell IN LOVE with Boruto. No it’s not Naruto, it never will be Naruto. but isn’t that a good thing? It stands on its own. It definitely has good laughs and great call backs to Shippuden. But it allows the show to evolve and grow into something new. I agree some of the filler is a little rough and sometimes slow. but hey Naruto had rough filler too 🤷🏻‍♀️ It just comes with the territory. I truly believe you will genuinely enjoy the show. I know you have to decide if it will be viable for a reaction series on a business level. (I’ll watch of course) but I say as a fan of Naruto you should watch it even if it’s just for your own personal enjoyment. It really brings up deeper-thinking themes and new legitimate obstacles for old and new characters to face in a new generation of the Shinobi World. 💪

Yes please watch and react to it. The Naruto universe is amazing and Boruto adds to it. The first thing you need to watch and react to after shippuden is the Naruto movie called the last then Boruto. The movie is cannon and great!

Raj

Yes, you should react to boruto, and also, yes, I would still continue watching your reactions to it. Many people sleep on boruto, and it gets a lot of undeserved hate. It does start off slightly slowly because of the new world building it is doing, but honestly, it is truly enjoyable. Especially as it gets into the manga canon. It is truly amazing.

Mehdi

Yes pls boruto is insane exept some filler

Dabi

Boruto is good! A lot of people hate on it but is actually interresting. Is very different than Shippuden and should be treated as it's own anime but as a continuation of the story. I follow other reactors that watched Boruto or just started it and they didn't regret 1 bit. I'm expecting a lot of haters to shout and say "don't watch it" but in the end its up to you. I'm here for it!

Jose Ferrer

I agree boruto is good and I would watch any videos of it

Terese

I love Boruto and I’d love to watch it along with you again and hear your thoughts about it~ :)

Ghost Tendency

I feel like Boruto loses my interest at times. But it has some genuinely great arcs, definitely worth doing. Especially if you feel by the end of Shippuden that you want more from the Naruto-verse.

Moochannie

Boruto minus the filler is good, people overhate on it and I think you should def give it a try considering that naruto is one of your favorite animes

Rhaine

I agree!!!!! You HAVE to watch “the last”

Vaidas Šukauskas

It's only 8.5% filler because they canonized filler. Just because a creator says it's canon doesn't mean anime only writers come up with material that's anywhere close in quality to manga. There's a very clear pattern to vast majority of Boruto anime only episodes, that I can see coming from a mile away, and it makes them to me totally pointless and boring, as well as undoing every piece of character development that anime filler arc tried to achieve. Why? Because in the end it has to square manga. Anime filler can't deviate. So there's zero character or plot progression, and worldbuilding is superficial at best. Besides, i don't like the personality of Boruto, as well as many other kids. Also, how they treated OG characters. Which is understandable, but then why base anime on peace time with old gen OP characters still around? Finally, show is aimed at young children, and has lots of slice of life. Big no no. Oh, and I forgot about abysmal soundtrack and sound editing especially, lack of choreography in fights, bad pacing. Background art is also terrible. So many nondescript blobs and smudges, where's Naruto had so many lush landscapes.

Vaidas Šukauskas

Fight animations might be good, but overall choreography and pacing is abysmal. Naruto fights were crafted by the author himself Boruto anime fights are thrown together by overworked animation studio staff, and it shows.

Vaidas Šukauskas

I've actually seen the opposite. Of the couple that I followed, they admitted having to hype up their reactions, especially during some of the worse anime "canon" episodes, and being mindful to keep up the positive attitude during reactions. Because they feared being too negative will scare away viewers.

Vaidas Šukauskas

manga canon episodes are ok. But the rest... You need to understand a couple of things. 1. It's aimed at a lot younger audience than Naruto 2. It has a lot of slice of life elements or even whole episodes 3. Because manga is only monthly, they need to pad anime with anime original content. And overworked anime studio writers are just worse 4. Because in the end anime has to square with manga, any plot progression, any character development or worldbuilding gets undone. They use every cliché trope to achieve it, and you can see it coming from the mile away. Which makes it meaningless, at least for me. Anime only episodes just can't have any stakes be default. 5. Soundtrack, sound editing, fighting choreography, background art, pacing is bad. For me that is irritating, as Naruto shines in these areas. I'd say skip anime only episodes, and just react to manga canon, or just manga...

Moochannie

I reccommend you watch all of the manga canon, and maybe half of the anime canon because there are some arcs that are good and some are just mid/bad

Anonymous

For me it‘s been like that, I just love the Naruto/Ninja universe, so I watched (still are warching) Boruto just so the Naruto-Universe lives on for me

BORUTO AFTER NARUTO YESSS

Antique-Item

Please god don’t. Boruto makes me genuinely angry. They ruined the franchise.
