Holy crap wasn't expecting this. It's a slice of life like you figured, specifically following these girls who are in a band through highschool. The show itself focusses more on the aspects of hanging with your bandmates than actually being about musicianship, and as such doesn't have a very in depth or even entirely realistic depiction of how it is to make music but as someone who was in a band in highschool it catches all the fun of screwing around with your bandmates around a show or in practise whatever absolutely perfectly imo. Its not for everyone since it being band focussed, a slice of life, or just a show about cute girls doing cute and fun stuff turns people off, but the people who get into it almost universally rate it really damn high and just because there's no massive plot doesn't mean it can't tell a story with all the emotional highs and lows you could want. Personally its one of my all time favourites sitting comfortably in my top 5. As some others have said the EDs are awesome, the OPs are kind of like a music video that they could make as highschool students whereas the EDs are sort of a "what if they could make real music videos" thing. Also as you said you wanna do them just so you're aware there are actually 4 EDs not just 3, since the movie also had one and its definitely not one you wanna miss.
