FYI, There was a Railgun opening that you missed. It just came out maybe 3 weeks ago now so I don’t blame you. Maybe throw that in if/whenever you do Accelerator since Accelerator only has a single opening? Like with Magical Index, Railgun also had a huge 7 year gap between seasons. The 3rd season is literally airing right now so it’s got that nice 2020 animation going for it while the other 2 seasons had late 2000s/early 2010s animation. Railgun IS a manga spin-off of the Index light novels. You probably saw the main character of Railgun quite a few times during the Index openings (she was the one riding the plane in the last Index opening). Railgun and Index take place at the same time and have ample crossovers. Apologies for the info dump.

So A certain Scientific Railgun and A certain Scientific Accelerator are spin off series based on A certain Magical Index, all based on light novels, Railgun takes place a bit before and then during the events of seasons 1 and 2 of Index and focuses on the lightning girl, also known as Railgun,

Only Index is adapted from a light novel. Railgun and Accelerator were both originally mangas and have no light novel source (though, I believe Railgun had one or two side stories which were written as light novels). There is also a manga series called A Certain Scientific Dark Matter which has yet to get an anime. At a certain point (the arc being adapted right now) the Railgun manga actually chronologically surpassed the Index light novels which later caught back up.
