Hi Patrons,

I´m working on a super cool client project right now and it´s all "cubes" related. I think, I´m allowed to say that.

Sadly I had to move my workstation over to my client, so my plan to record a new tutorial at the weekend will not work out;-). But just to bridge the time until the next tutorial, I want to provide you with some of my projectfiles regarding this topic.

I have a lot of output and test files at the moment and I think I just want to share the knowledge with you. Some might be more useful then others but overall I hope there will be something interesting for everyone.

And be sure, in October I will be back with full power but until then I just want to make clear that you still get some good value for your membership. Just understand, that I´m really busy with client work this month but everything I learn will be shared with you.

Lets start with this projectfile.

The setup is pretty simple. I just use the Topoformer plugin. Topoformer just helps you to get extra subdivisions into your geometry. Sadly it only works until C4D 22 ( maybe if you use the Insydium Bridge script, it will work in newer version, too).

Anyway. Insydium MeshTools are doing pretty much the same as the older Topoformer plugin, so if you can´t get Topoformer to work, then be sure to check the MeshTool. I will talk about that in upcoming posts.

PS: I used an HDRI called aerodynamics_workshop. You will find it on polyhaven.com. For extra detail in your materials, just use an image of a microchip (search for "microchip inside"). That´s an easy way to get lot´s of fine "greeble" details.

Best,

Markus
