Hey everyone, how's the new year treating you? Hopefully better than mine! I've got a couple of updates to share, and they're a bit on the heavy side, to be honest.

First off, some news about our main 'Demon Sword Maiden' translator, Yuki. Last week, I got the kind of news you never want to hear – Yuki had a nasty fall in the bathroom and ended up with a spinal fracture. This means we might see some delays with 'Demon Sword Maiden' for a while. The silver lining is that Yuki's on the mend, slowly but surely, and can now get out of bed without pain. Let's all send our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

On a more personal note, things have been a bit rocky for me too. The financial side of things isn't looking great, and I've been hunting for a part-time job these past few weeks. You might've noticed the lack of updates in early January – that's partly because I was away and partly because, well, I've been hit with a case of the new year blues. I'm still looking for a job, and I'm not sure what's around the corner. This might mean I'll be less available for proofreading and the weekly updates.

The good news is that this shouldn't affect our monthly batches. Our translators (apart from Yuki) are still hard at work, and as long as our patrons keep supporting them, they'll keep getting paid. However, I'm worried that some translations might not get the usual quality check if I'm tied up.

I just wanted to be upfront with you all about where things stand. Your support means the world to us, especially during times like these. Thanks for sticking with us, and here's to hoping things look up soon.
