Chapter 39 - Great reversal

Yaeger realized what was going on with the Storm Wolf’s strange transformations. Its special ability [Bloodthirst] was activated!

When its HP falls below 30%, the Storm Wolf's attack power would be increased by 100%, its attack speed would be increased by 50%, and lasts for 1 minute with a cooldown of 5 minutes.

This was a particularly abnormal ability.

"Arwooooo!" The Storm Wolf roared with its red eyes fixated on Yaeger. The next moment, its figure dashed like lightning and appeared in front of her instantly. Then its huge claws slashed.

The storm wolf’s ambush failed yet it wasn’t discouraged at all. Instead, it attacked more violently. It looked like a green tornado, madly attacking Yaeger.

A wolf and a woman moved at high speed, leaving after-images as they fought and ran, devastating the ground around them.

Looking at such a high-speed fierce battle, Rakshasa was envious. *When will I be able to fight like this?*

Only a few seconds left before the special effects of [Phantom Step] wore off. Once the special effects are lost, Yaeger would fall into a passive state. However, looking at her indifferent appearance, she seemed to have some sort of a plan.

The Storm Wolf doesn't want to play a cat-and-mouse tag game with her. The [Bloodthirst] skill would only last for a minute. Yaeger must be eliminated within this minute!

Otherwise, its hatred would not subside.

Perhaps in the near future, it would regret why it did not take this chance to flee instead?

The storm wolf attacked more and more fiercely and the wind mana wrapped around its body turned extremely violent, as if it was going to burst at any time.

The two sides clashed for a few seconds, and the Storm Wolf’s HP dropped to 1/5. It would be dangerous for any player who had their HP dropped to 1/5. However, the Storm Wolf still had 6100 points left even at one-fifth of its original HP!

Suddenly, Yaeger felt her body slow down. She understood that [Phantom Step]'s special effect duration was over.

The Storm Wolf's huge body rammed into Yaeger, sending her flying. Yaeger flipped 6 or 7 times in the air and coughed out blood before landing in a mess, stopping only after backing up more than a dozen steps.

Rakshasa: *Be careful!*

Seeing this pop-up message, Yaeger suddenly looked up. As expected, she saw the Storm Wolf attacking her from the above. Its huge claws swiped straight down, wanting to turn her into mincemeat!

She quickly rushed in to aid Yaeger.

The Storm Wolf noticed Rakshasa from the corner of its eyes but took no action. As long as Yaeger was killed, this annoying fly could be pinched to death at any time!

Rakshasa’s [Gale Sword] combined with the power of charge ruthlessly landed on the Storm Wolf's head. The latter received this move and the blood spurted out from its head, but the damage was small.

In the end, Rakshasa’s strength was not enough!

Meanwhile, the wind blades were only less than two meters away from Yaeger, ready to cut her in half.

Yaeger quickly switched her weapons, nocked an arrow and released it. The arrow rain instantly filled the whole sky.

The wind blades and the flame arrows collided. Instead of disappearing at the same time, two kinds of energy with different attributes merged together into a  firestorm and instantly exploded!

“Damn it!” Yaeger’s face turned deathly pale and an ominous premonition rose in her heart.

Her hunch was correct.

The firestorm suddenly spread out and Yaeger was swept in.

Both Rakshasa and the Storm Wolf witnessed this scene and were dumbfounded.
