Update: The Poll is closed for now. I tried inviting xaiomoge and he refused. All doors to a peaceful resolution have now been officially shut down by him. This spells for war! Nay, just kidding. I'll just hand this project to him once he surpassed us in chapter releases.

Ok so here's the deal. This is a completely WHAT IF scenario. I'm just pointing out the possible route we could take in the future.

As you guys know by now, it seemed like xaiomoge is not intending to stop translating The Ancestor despite getting in touch with him, and he's  not willing to work in collaboration either, which really sucks for us. And there's also the fact that the status quo for the current Demon Sword Maiden translator being unknown, we still have no idea if we will keep him as the main translator of Demon Sword Maiden or not.

But in the case that the current Demon Sword Maiden translator has decided to stop, I will have the current translator of The Ancestor work on Demon Sword Maiden, then I will attempt to invite xaiomoge to work on The Ancestor for us.

What do you guys think of this arrangement?

Xaio doesnt want to work together and seems strangely hostile in the things you posted i think you should just forget about it until they possibly stop translating it sadly.

SilvaLau

yea, he does seem strangely hostile, I'm not even sure if he will accept my invitation either. But hey, since money is involved... maybe he might? maybe he won't? hm...

If things don't work out you can always just choose another project. No point stepping on each other's toes and I'm sure no one would hold it against you.

Honestly i just hope this doesn't affect Demon Sword Maiden progress. As in i agree with the decision of getting the Ancestor's translator if the current translator somehow disappears..but for the new project..it's just like the others said.

SilvaLau

thanks, but I'll still feel quite bitter about it. I even had plans to have Deximus scanlate the manhua once we have enough chapters to go by :( All those plans are now ruined

SilvaLau

Yeah, the current Demon Sword Maiden translator doesn't communicate with me much aside from when he's submitting the chapter. I really don't know what he thinks. I did brief with him about his translation quality and that I won't be able to pay him the amount he expected due to not meeting up to expectation, so now I'm waiting for his answer, which should come along with this month's batch.

SilvaLau

Okay, I already tried inviting him and he refused... Honestly, what am I even expecting... *shrugs*

I suppose this falls under the category of unknown unknowns. Unfortunate, but it's nothingng that could have been predicted. But seeing how the current DSM translator is hard to reach and the quality is making more work, puting a new translator on it may help get things back on track. Always look on the bright side, yeah?
