Chapter 72: Lily’s interrogation 

In the eerie, dark wood storage, the flame was flickering inside the dim oil lamp. Shiu’s beautiful shape, not so tall or so short, was hung on the beam. 

The light shone in her eyes partially. From her jade-like body, beads of sweat rolled from time to time because of her tense nerves and the drug efficacy. 

Shiu looked so mournful. Her dreamy eyes looked at Lily glumly and fearfully. 

In this otherworld Heian Empire, women always had low positions. “Doing what? You don’t need to ask. As… as you’re the captive, I have to search your body!” Lily replied, stammering a little. 

As she was defeated, she belonged to Lily. And, no need to mention her belongings would become Lily’s spoils of war. Everything was right and just. Anyway, as Lily had come here from the modern world, she felt it was hard to accept such a straightforward rule of this world.

It was more than fifty-one kwans. She was really rich. 

Lily suddenly figured it out. Should she go and collect things from the ninjas she had killed? 

“Hey, your other henchmen, did they have money?” 

Shiu shook her head. “No money. They didn’t have a mon. We are all poor people. Ninjas are pretty poor. All the traveling expenses and other expenses of my ninja troop is here. And, most of it isn’t my money. It’s the money the Chief paid me.”

Shiu could only be upset and depressed. As she was in Lily’s mercy, it was impossible to retain her own assets.

“Ryumori? Is this your family name?” asked Lily. 

“No, no! Female ninjas aren’t allowed to keep such an ordinary name,” Shiu hastily denied.

“Oh? So it’s your ordinary family name?” 

"Eh? How, how did you know that?” 

Lily shook her head. Shiu got good martial arts, but her intelligence was something people had to worry about. She wondered what the Wind Demon Clan’s Chief had in his mind to assign her this mission. Later on, she would interrogate Shiu and her red mouth would sell that entire clan down the river. 

Her other items didn’t look valuable.

While Lily was collecting things to her heart’s content, Sakura returned. The parasol pushed the door open and saw the scene, even its canopy turning redder. “Ah, s- seems like I saw what I shouldn’t. Master, sorry, I disturbed you. I’ll be back in two hours ~ “ 

“What?” Lily blushed, screaming softly. “You, what did you say! No, it’s not what you think! I- I am only interrogating and checking her body!” 

“Hehe, really,” Sakura Parasol chuckled as she re-entered the warehouse.

Seeing the talking umbrella, Shiu was scared. She screamed, “Ah…! A monster umbrella!” 

“Shut up! Who are you calling a monster! I’m a shikigami! A stately shikigami!” Sakura Parasol jumped up, whipping Shiu’s butt. 

“Ah, it hurts. Sorry, sorry master shikigami. M- my bad… I won’t do it ever again…” 

Lily was startled. She felt like Sakura could be a better master than her. After just one sentence, Shiu had to say sorry to it continuously. 

It also made Lily a little frustrated as she was still childish in that aspect. Shaking her head, she stopped thinking about that and asked, “Sakura, how’s it going out there?”
