Wriggling tentacles... I mean... Hello! I hope you had a good weekend. :)

This should be the last update with Inside-Belly stuff. I wanted to add a few more extras before compiling it into a release for itch-- just some more variety in the tileset and some more animations that you can use to make interactive elements.

------

First up, there are some animated nerve-tentacles. The cool thing about these is that they have a special animation that you can use to transition between their up and down states. I made the above preview using events in RPGMaker.

There are two color variations; and the sheet includes some blob-switches from a previous release, re-colored to match the tentacles.

I could see these tentacles also being used as vines of some kind, in a jungle area. Might take a little bit of color editing, but they could be used in all sorts of ways.

Next, I made a little valve hole in the floor that opens and closes. I thought it would be useful for puzzles or obstacles where the player could fall through to a floor below. I was thinking about a similar mechanic from Jabu-Jabu's belly... You can see this in the above preview, too.

This one I added onto the previous animation sheet, since there was some extra space.

Lastly, I've added some extras to the tileset itself. There's been suggestions that the set needed a pillar-like tile, so I created some bone pillars. There's some variations that have veins and nerves, and different tiles to connect them into the ceiling tiles that already existed.

I put all of the object-layer tiles, including the new bone pillars, onto a single sheet that will work in RPGMaker. You can download it here:

I also need to get all of this belly stuff organized into a set and publish on itch, so I might do that soon-- depends on how much family stuff I need to do for the holiday this week. Plus on Wednesday, after the Steam launch sale, I'm gonna put Jubilee up on my itch store, so I'll have a post about that with access for the high-tier patrons. And I also want to make a big chunky preview for the elements character set, so the next post on Friday might be that...

See you then! Have a good Thanksgiving!

Thanks!

That doorway is gnarly! This is now one of my favorite tilesets, thank you sir.

For the animated doors, both 100 and 200% are the 100% sheet. And the 300 is actually the 200% sheet. Thought I'd let you know. I really like this set and am very eager to fit this in somewhere.
