Wyvern/Dragon (Patreon)
Content
Hello! Today's release is a big boy-- and based on a patron request.
Well, well, well... this is certainly a more fearsome beast than the dragon that I made four years ago! I think that I've improved quite a lot in the time that we've been working on these regular patron releases-- this is a cool example of that improvement.
Technically this is a wyvern because it has two legs and the arms are the wings-- while true dragons have four limbs in addition to the wings... huh!
I took up this guy because he's similar in style to some of the animals that I've put a lot of time into over the past week (here's a sneak peak)-- you can tell that it's a more detailed and realistic style than the monsters and animals from older expansions-- it shows how I've evolved over time. But I'm trying to keep it stylistically close enough so it doesn't look out of place with the older Time Fantasy stuff.
These big detailed guys certainly take more time than I was originally thinking, when I posted the thread about the Animals 2 expansion. Of course, "this idea turned out to be more ambitious than I thought" is the normal course of things at this point-- so it's not a real surprise =_=!!!
Anyways, here are the Downloads:
- Wyvern/Dragon Sprite Sheet - 100%
- Wyvern/Dragon Sprite Sheet - 200% (RMVX)
- Wyvern/Dragon Sprite Sheet - 300% (MV/MZ)
The sheet has two color variations: red and green. It comes with and without the shadows. It's a simple 3-frame animation (4-frames, with the middle one repeated). Intended to be used for boss encounters or other similar setpieces.
Note for RPGMaker users: be sure to add a "$" to the beginning of the filename so RPGMaker recognizes it as a single-character sheet.

in b4: "Where's the full four directions for this guy?"
(in the past I've made similar boss-sized sprites like this and ended up making the other directions after patrons asked about them)
As you can imagine, something of this size and detail takes a heck of a lot longer than regular character sprites -- so the other two directions would be a second release itself. If that's something that would be useful it to you, I'm down to do it-- I just wanted to note the reason that I didn't go "all the way".
If the replies to this thread are generally in favor of using this week's second release for more of this wyvern, or if you'd rather me to move onto the next request-- I'll try to follow what I see from patrons.
I hope that makes sense!

I'll be back later in the week with... something. See you soon.
Thanks!
