Hello! I have... something different... for you today!

This morning I was looking through files on an old backup HDD. I found a bunch of old pixel art, from various abandoned projects throughout the years, and I decided to pull some assets that somebody might find useful.

I have two "new" sheets of miscellaneous RPG sprite assets for you today:

Even though both sheets are called "2011"-- this one is older than that. The post-it-note stuck to the HDD said "2011" on it, but I'm fairly sure that I made this first set earlier, probably around 2008 or somewhere around there. I certainly remember these concepts from waaaay back when I was in high school, but I think that these assets were made a few years after that.

Anyways, there's not much here, though the interesting thing is the variety of head pieces in different colors. I might have been thinking about a character generator at this time. If that's right, it would have been inspired by the old charas-project generator site (which surprisingly still exists).

This one might actually be from 2011-- it's certainly from a later period than the first sheet. I think that I played with this style around the time that RPGmaker-VX was first released.

There isn't as much to the base, but there's more variety to the character designs here, and two of them have full walking sprites. Interestingly, the girl has a full four frames of animation for her walk cycle.

------

I didn't change any of these graphics other than to re-arrange them onto these sheets. These sprites remain as representations of what I was doing at earlier points in my pixel art development. They are, obviously, not complete sets: it's just loose sprites and character ideas. You are welcome to use them in any way you want, expand on them, etc. I'm releasing these freely. I hope you find some use for them.

Both of these sheets are arranged based on a 16x16 grid. I've only included them at 100% scale: because of the incomplete nature of these sets, they're not much use unless expanded on, so these aren't polished export sheets.

------

Let me know what you think about these old miscellaneous assets. I might be able to dig up some more of this kind of thing if people are interested.

Anyways, I'm almost finished with the Fairy Forest tileset. I'll be back later this week with the finished release. See you then.

Thanks!

I'm trying to make a character customizer for my game, and this is a decent jumping-off point. (I'm a colorblind man who has trouble drawing hair) This is also my first time hearing of Charas Project.

i really like those taller/thinner sprites in the top right of the first sheet.
