Hello.

It was brought to my attention that the original Icon Set wasn't arranged in a way that worked with RPGMaker's expected default setup. This mostly has to do with the buff/debuff system that is built-in to the RPGMaker MZ engine.

I've re-arranged the sheet so that the buff/debuff arrow icons are now in the expected locations for RPGMaker MZ. Part of this involved expanding the icons a little bit: there are now single-arrows in addition to the double-arrows that existed previously.

Since I was editing the sheet, I went ahead and included the recent milk icons and the set of hammer weapon icons from earlier this year. Then, since I had some empty spaces near the food icons, I added in some extra icons that I copied over from Omega Modern: a hot dog, taco, burrito, bottled water, etc.

Note: Of course this means that many icons are in different locations on the updated sheet. Though the overall organization is the same, the shifts might require you to change the icons in your game, so be aware of what if you overwrite the icon sheet in your game project.

This little update, as well as some other changes, have delayed the upcoming Fairy Forest Tileset a bit (in brief: there's a lot of foliage, and detailed leaf textures take a long time 😖-- I spent nearly all day yesterday working on a single giant tree.)

I'm sorry for the little delay on the promised release: but (as seems to always happen with these things) the set is going to be larger than originally planned. And based on the other times this has happened in the past (and previous polls that directly asked your opinion)-- it will be worth the little delay to have a larger release. Hopefully that's cool with you.

I'll continue working on it through this weekend, I might have another preview update for you over the weekend: let me know if that interests you or if you just want me to drop it when it's finished. Either way I'll have some more information for your next week. See you then.

Any chance we could get this new Iconset to work with VX Ace?

it already does work with rpg maker vx ace. You have to use the 2x version for ace. 3x is for mv.
