Hello! Today's release is another special pre-release for a mini-pack that I'm working on.

So... I mentioned in my previous post that I waned to get this animals mini-pack finished by last week. And-- I was hoping to get it finished for today, too.

But nope: sometimes you just get stuck waiting at the car repair place for five hours in the middle of the day and lose an entire day of productivity.

It is what it is. 🤷 Anyways-- since I need to make up some time to work on these, I figured that I might as well use this morning's patreon release to share what I have so far.

So consider this a patron pre-release preview post! 😅

There's two main animations here: a walking animation and a eating/idle animation.

Note that these are not intended to be full horse sprites for riding; they're intended as primarily decorative animations: useful for populating farm or village areas with some NPC animals, just like the cows from the previous post where I was first developing this style.

There's four different color variants-- which makes for a full sheet of 8 sprites in total. On top of that, I've exported it with and without the shadow, so you can use whichever fits best for your project.

I hope that these are useful to you!

These sprites have a full-color style, intended to work with Elements, Omega Modern, or any other variety of styles by other artists.

The notable exception of course is base Time Fantasy's more muted color palette-- let me know if you think that the full pack should include a TF recolor variant when I release it. TF already has animals of its own, and I wouldn't want to cause confusion where people might use both sets and have a style clash; so I originally wasn't planning on doing that. But I thought of it while writing up this post. Your input would be useful to me.

That's it for now. I'll be back later in the week with something new-- hopefully the finished Animals mini-pack! If I can't get them all done this week, then I'll pick a patron request to work on instead. See you soon.

Thanks!
