Damn! They are PRESSED! I kept wondering why they continued to engage with a guy who was calm and factually countering them instead of just moving on to end the call. But I realized it was this: They knew the guy was correct, so instead of ending it, they fear it would be a tipping point for the audience to ask similar questions and come to the same conclusions. Instead, they need to argue back to prevent the seed from planting as well as mentally justifying it to themselves (which is why it continued on and why they seemed more interested in continuing the argument instead of the other guy).

Great episode. Audience capture makes a lot of sense. I think an audience will radicalize a creator first before they start radicalizing the audience. They stumble upon some dumb shit that people want to watch and talk about, and then suddenly that's all they're doing. They're viewers reward them for being more extra and outrageous
