!!!WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Today we have Mac of Macabre Storytelling.  Together he and Trevor sit down to discuss the apple+ original, Ted Lasso.  Ted Lasso is the story of a young British lad who finds himself on a meteoric rise in his career; from being the resident punching bag and ball boy for a fledgling football club to the premier coach of the UK's most elite squad.  Why they didn't call the show "Nate" is anyone's guess.  Get the popcorn and add extra butter, its time to dive in the water and swim with the sharks as they discuss the natey-greaty... nitty-gritty of Ted Lasso.

This is Part 1 of a two-part episode. Part 2 is free to all paid subscribers over at www.patreon.com/posts/59882921.  Become a paid subscriber for $5/month over at patreon.com/champagnesharks and get access to the entire archive of subscriber-only episodes, the Discord voice and chat server for patrons, detailed show notes for certain episodes, and our newsletter.

This show is absolutely thinkpiece TV. It's about being positive after all those years with mean ol' Drumpf in office. Just do a google search for "why we need Ted Lasso."

assuming the worst outcome is relatable

Since Nate appears to be so self-hating, maybe that's why the show is called Ted Lasso

Good point about too much positivity, I recently heard of "toxic positivity"

Mr. Lobotomy

that's interesting, it makes sense that people would continue to blame themselves (or each other too) as opposed to the system
