Black people being poor and oppressed is why we are unable to effectively control and protect our music. Doing that takes resources. It’s foolish to blame black people first for that

They hit a good point. We are ambivalent about our arts, tradition and culture. We only show up when the white people care. Any other time it’s corny and lame to curate your people’s history. It’s something this generation does cause of the colorblind era and Obama.
