Could you do an episode focused on Frances Cress Welsing like the one you did focused on Neely Fuller?

This episode was a tough one for me but I needed to hear it. Thank you for telling Devonte's story.

Just hearing this one: Would have treaded more carefully with the conversation/point on males in the adopted families being coerced into becoming more effeminate. I buy the potential racial impulse towards it that T. alluded to more than anything else and. I just think the "coercion" aspect has limits because we have to keep it real and recognize that most children are effectively coerced into hetero-normative behavior. As in you are bought certain types of toys or told to do certain things that fit into hetero normative conceptions of society (and if the child's behavior deviates, parents or whatever guardian will often attempt steer them towards something hetero-normative). I believe that there is some evidence that it may happen organically for most (like we know there are some differences between girls and boys from an early age that we may qualify as masculine and feminine) , but often there is an additional element of "programming" taking place. I would have to wonder if there would be even more tom boys and more effeminate guys if there was absolutely no coercion. Either way, "coercion"/encouragement often goes both ways and I suspect it is hard to figure out which one has the biggest impact.
