Question: What Kind of Reward Would You Pay $10/Month For? (Patreon)

I'm interested in creating tiers, so I'm wondering what kind of rewards would make you feel willing to part with $10/month? This is meant to be a brainstorming session, so feel free to throw in anything that would make you be willing to pay $10/month, even if you don't think it's realistic.


EDIT: None of this would change the existing rewards at the $5 tier.

Thinking simple, off the top of my head: just the same kind of content, but twice the amount per month.

Yeah the first thing that I thought was just more content, maybe like a story time or rants and raves segment

A "zine" a la the Street Fight Radio zine. You could pay creative fans a small fee to contribute good art work, essays whatever. The Sfr zines usually revolve around anarchism/anti-work in some fashion but I think champagne sharks has its own separate (though related) themes that could be creatively built upon

I second the zine. Not sure what it should cover, maybe more evergreen or abstract topics? Short essays defining CS cultural analysis terms? B&W photoessays by contributors? Assorted tidbits of cultural context that just aren't big enough or small enough to get worked into an episode?

And/or occasional bits of cheap swag, like bumper stickers / decals, as good ideas come up. Quality over quantity. Maybe give patrons a taste of a sticker before it goes in the swag shop? Only 1, if we want more, they're in the shop. I don't think the ideas have to be too tightly linked to CS, just things that are funny / interesting / savvy.

It would be really cool for T to go into detail on essential philosophical, historical, race, and class related texts, and why a particular text is important. Doesn't even have to concern those matters, knowing T is pretty omnivorous in what he reads; just going into detail about whatever he's really into. Kind of like how Matt on chapo does the very occasional premium episode talking about a historical period or event.

Yeah but a Slack or Discors only for Patreoners, so smaller and with with more host interaction / input on content.

I support the movie idea. You guys go deep on every topic I’ve heard you discuss, and even tho I didn’t see black panther yet, I enjoyed the discussion on it. We get so many cultural ideas enforced on us thru media I’d like to see that done more.
