We have our live Zoom interview with Jóhanna Katrín Friðriksdóttir about her work on The Northman tomorrow, but it just occurred to me that you might like to know (albeit belatedly) that on Simon Roper's Patreon, he and I are going to have a live discussion about Old English runes this morning (at the usual transatlantic time slot we use: 10:00 a.m. in Colorado, 17:00/5:00 p.m. in the U.K.).

I doubt this will be the last time either of us engages with this subject, but for those who might want to be there for it live, the details are over on his Patreon

Relatedly pictured: Michael Barnes's Runes: A Handbook, which seems to be getting cheaper. Maybe the book is getting some good press somewhere and there's slightly more demand for it now to justify bigger printings.

All the best for now, and thank you as always for your kindness and support,

Jackson Crawford

P.S. My Patreon messages don't work. I don't  get notifications for them, and there's nothing on my home page to show  me  when there is or isn't a message. I can't even always see them when I  check for them manually, and you won't see it if I reply! The best ways  to get in touch are: a) just to comment on posts like this, b) to  post in the Community page, or c) to email my assistant Stella at   [admin  AT JacksonWCrawford.com]--remember the 'W' between my first and last names in that domain name.

re: "Runes: A Handbook," on the off chance anyone was in the same boat as me and had it preordered from Amazon (US), mine did ship yesterday (after one minor delay) and should be in my hands tomorrow, and at least according to their website the paperback is shipping via 2-day Prime. I did just check Book Depository ( https://www.bookdepository.com/Runes-Handbook-Michael-P-Barnes/9781783276974 ) and Amazon UK, and both of those have the release date as May 27th, so unfortunately it looks like it may be a few more weeks if you're outside the US-- however, Book Depository does have it for 10% off now with free worldwide shipping, so that's certainly a plus.

Thanks for the heads up, just ordered it from Book Depository.
