Patreon Holiday Cards 2021 (Patreon)

It's that time of the year again for my longest-running Patreon tradition! I first mailed out Christmas cards to Patreon supporters in December 2016, so this will be the sixth year running.

Please let me know if you want one, and if so, what address to send it to. I don't assume that anyone's address is stable from one year to another (mine has seldom been). And I don't mean e-mail address; yes, these are real, paper cards. It doesn't matter to me if you live in another country, so don't be shy about requesting a card from overseas.

It was last year around this time that I realized Patreon messages don't work anymore because some supporters sent me their mailing addresses in messages and I didn't see them. I also directly asked many long-time supporters for their addresses by Patreon message, and basically no one saw my message. Patreon messages still don't work, so the best way to get your address to us will be to send an email to Stella at admin AT JacksonWCrawford.com --including the exact words "holiday cards 2021" in the subject line will send them into a special folder that will help us count and sort the requests efficiently.

Like last year, I'll include signed bookplate stickers so that even supporters who can't get a signed book from Boulder Book Store can have an indirectly signed book. There are a few different designs I have, and none of them give me much room to write on. But if you'd like me to write a quote from the Eddas or sagas (maybe on some I could write as much as a stanza), or something like that, let me know. I haven't done translation requests for a long time but I'd consider doing something real short (a sentence or less) that you wouldn't blush to ask your most prudish, conventional grandma's most prudish, conventional grandma to write (I'm probably prudish and conventional even by her standards, so I'll still use my discretion). I can also include an extra bookplate if you'd like to give one to someone else-- just please let me know that when you email, and if there's something specific you want me to write on that (along the lines of "Happy New Year, Joe").
