Announcing another Patreon-exclusive Crowdcast conversation on Friday, October 9th: This time with the University of Colorado's resident expert in all things Tolkien and tapestries, Avedan Raggio. Go to https://www.crowdcast.io/e/avedanraggio or  https://tinyurl.com/y2gjztaa to see the time in your time zone and preregister (as usual, something is wrong with patreon today and it's not letting me post all links as links).

Avedan Raggio is a long-time lecturer in the Nordic Program at the University of Colorado Boulder. With research interests in the intersection of Old Norse literature and J. R. R. Tolkien's novels, the use of medieval folktales and fairytales in modern movements, and in the technology and technique of weaving in medieval Scandinavia, she's sure to be able to answer many of your questions on these subjects. As a fun connection to current events, she was one of the people who created Njálurefillinn, the embroidered tapestry of Njál's Saga.

Please join us for this Crowdcast if you can! The time ought to be indicated in your local timezone at the Crowdcast link. If there is a question you'd like asked but you can't make the live Crowdcast, send it to Stella at admin@jacksonwcrawford.com and we'll make sure it gets asked during the Crowdcast. As usual, the recording of the Crowdcast will be available to logged-in Patreon supporters afterwards, and will be posted publicly on Youtube at a later date.

All the best for now,

Jackson Crawford

Is this going to be posted so we can watch it sometime? I'd love to review.

I am incredibly disappionted that I missed this live! I'm a "textile nerd," so I'm 5 minutes into the replay on youtube and completely geeking out! I spin, knit, dye yarn, as well as other needlework and would have loved to sit in on this.
