I'm happy to announce that we're really getting rolling with our Patreon-exclusive Crowdcast conversations again, this time featuring my University of Colorado colleague (and mirabile dictu, Patreon supporter) Dr. Vicki Grove! This one will be in the same time slot as this past weekend's: 4:00 p.m. U.S. Mountain time (the registration link above ought to show you the time in your local timezone).

Dr. Vicki Grove is a faculty member in the Department of German and Slavic at the University of Colorado Boulder, teaching in both the Slavic and Nordic programs. Her academic research and teaching focus on folklore, folk belief, superstition, and the supernatural in eastern and northern Europe. Recently she has also expanded into working on issues of space, climate, and environment in the traditional folklore of these areas. Additionally, she has published research on and taught classes in 19th century Russian literature, especially Dostoevsky, and is constantly developing new and exciting classes to add to CU's curriculum in Scandinavian and Slavic folklore and literature.

An award-winning senior instructor and an extremely active presence in numerous committees on the CU campus, there are few academic trends and issues that Dr. Grove has not seen from the frontlines. Just this year, she won both the university's Faculty Council Distinguished Service Award and the Boulder Faculty Assembly's Award for Excellence in Leadership and Service!

I'll hope to see you at what promises to be an illuminating and informative conversation, and for now, all the best,

Jackson Crawford
