Here's this week's Patreon vocabulary, featuring Óðinn and associated beings and things.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday I'll be posting a video about humor in Old Norse literature, which was the winning voted-on topic from last month. It's also a topic that I'd like to hear Dr. Jóhanna Katrín Friðriksdóttir talk about in our upcoming Crowdcast with her, though I'll be most interested to hear her talk about her new book. Meanwhile, it looks like the winning topic for this coming month is how the Norse viewed other cultures (congratulations Evan Weatherby for the winning topic suggestion!).

Boulder, Colorado has issued a stay-at-home order beginning this afternoon, though this probably doesn't change anything for Stella or me directly (I don't live in Boulder, and Stella still has to go to work at the grocery store). But these times are stressful and challenging for us as much as anyone else, and we particularly appreciate that you choose to continue the kindness of supporting my video series and other public educational efforts in this unpredictable time.

With all the best wishes,

Jackson Crawford
