It was a heck of an event Monday night at Boulder Book Store, with a sold-out crowd (and the store sold out of my books too). It was different and fun to feel like kind of a celebrity for a couple hours, especially given how far some people traveled (from as far as California and New York!) and some of the personal stories I heard about where my books have followed and led readers. For those who couldn't be there, I posted a video of my remarks on Youtube here.
On Tuesday, I also recorded a segment for Colorado Public Radio's show Colorado Matters. My original understanding was that it would be on live, then that it would be on Wednesday's show. Now they tell me it's on Friday's show (it airs at 9:00 a.m. local time, but it will be available online too). Unfortunately they mostly wanted to talk about Frozen and Frozen 2, but I tried to get a little in about my translations.
I've also posted a short video introducing Hávamál to those who might see it just as a funny word (and encouraging them to read it), and the most recent interview I did on the History of Vikings podcast, this time about Hávamál and The Wanderer's Hávamál of course.
There is still a little tiny bit of time (what's left of today, Wednesday the 11th) to enter the instagram contest for a signed copy of The Wanderer's Hávamál! I've been floored by the amount of response to this contest.
Erilaz supporters: there is also still time to get in an annual holiday card request (through Saturday).
Some new supporters have still been contacting Stella about translation requests. I know old videos may still refer to them, but these were discontinued in November because of time and health constraints, as announced here.
As always, thank you all for sticking with me in my efforts as an educational entrepreneur (a phrase that's growing on me) and for your much-appreciated support. Wishing you all the best for now,
Jackson Crawford
