Our next Patreon-exclusive Crowdcast--where you get to ask questions of the real experts live--is with my old friend and colleague Dr. Tony Yates of the Program in Indo-European Studies at UCLA. Tony and I met eight years ago at UCLA when he took a year of Old Norse from me there (he was still a PhD student at the time, but he now teaches in the same program). The above is a photo of him and me from a weekend trip in those long-lost days.

Many of you have questions about Proto-Indo-European language and culture, so this is a great opportunity to pose them to one of the most qualified people on the planet to answer them. He's looking forward to it and has given me several different days and times in early January that will be good for him. If you'd like to be in on this Crowdcast--and I hope you will--take a look at this Doodle poll and let us know what options will work for you.

Note: I input the times in U.S. Mountain time, and Doodle ought to show you the times in your own time zone. But it would be a good idea to double-check which time zone you're seeing (the options in Mountain time are 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. on Tues. Jan. 7, Thurs. Jan. 9, or Fri. Jan. 10, plus 11:00 a.m. or 12:00 noon on Fri. Jan. 10).

@Stella Nathaniel Thanks again, watched the video and the explanation was there. Can’t wait to dive deeper. There is something in Old Norse that appeals my inner core to an extent of loss of words.
