Newest Welcome Thanks Message (Patreon)
Content
For a long time (since the Berkeley days), I hadn't updated the simple message new Patreon supporters get when they sign up. I decided to give that an overhaul this week, and thought all of you might appreciate what I thought the basic "things to know" were about now.
I'm still not feeling very well (this is all related to a chronic condition that I might eventually discuss in a ranch porch video or something), but I've been going to work. This weekend I will be out on The Ranch so there will be a few days when I'll be (even more than usual) off the internet. As usual Stella can handle most things while I'm out; write to admin@jacksonwcrawford.com
All the best,
Jackson Crawford

(which means "thanks!"—hopefully that turned out with the right letters in your browser)
Thank you very much for supporting my educational video series! Now here are some basic things you'll need to know:
1. Please feel free to contact me by sending a message here on Patreon, but note that these feed directly into my e-mail and I get so much every day that it takes me a long time to see any particular message. If you just have a quick question or need a fast reply about something, e-mail my assistant Stella Bostwick at admin@jacksonwcrawford.com. Stella is also the person to talk to first about things like video topic requests, and Stella has an organized list of all the videos that can help you find something about a topic that might have already been covered.
2. Be sure to let Stella know if you didn't automatically get an invite to the Discord.
3. The Patreon page is set up in a blog-like format so it can be difficult to find specific things. But if you look on the left side of my Patreon homepage (on a computer, probably not a mobile device), you'll see four "featured tags" you can browse: "Rewards" (where I've tagged all the posts with exclusive Patreon content), "Updates" (news about my videos, books, or other doings), "Livechats" (where I announce the schedule of livechats on Discord--the place for making translation requests), and "Communication" (updates about how to get a hold of me). One particularly important post to check out is the latest one on translation requests.
4. I do not make a post on Patreon every time I upload a video, nor will Patreon notify you automatically when I do. You still have to manage your Youtube subscriptions on Youtube (or just check my Youtube page manually on Wednesday morning for the Old Norse content and Saturday morning for any occasional fun/extra/unrelated content).
All the best,
Jackson Crawford
