This video is scheduled to be my normal update on Thursday, August 9th. I wanted to go ahead and give Patreon supporters an advance look two weeks before, because so many of you have asked lately about the influence of volcanic activity on the description of Ragnarǫk in Vǫluspá. Dr. Mathias Nordvig, who also teaches at the University of Colorado Boulder, is one of the top experts on that question. We talk about that a little in this video, and you can also read a lot of his research papers about it on his Academia page (requires a free account to read).

Thank you, as always, for your incredible support on Patreon!
