Since it's been requested a few times by now, here's my latest stab at this popular poem by J. R. R. Tolkien:

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes, a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Speaking of wandering: this upcoming week is spring break at CU Boulder so I will be traveling to visit family. I have the videos for that week set to post automatically, but I'm afraid I will be slower to respond to your emails and messages than usual as I will often be in remote locales.

Meanwhile, check out this cool Norse-themed poker deck that Patreon supporter Hope Hughes and her husband are creating.

Thanks as always for your support on Patreon!

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but why are there two runes for R. Are they interchangeable like the Old English ð and þ?

No, but actually I made a whole video about this: <a href="https://youtu.be/6Q3MGzbxk2U" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/6Q3MGzbxk2U</a> and it's also addressed in this longer one: <a href="https://youtu.be/X7Z65582ex4" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/X7Z65582ex4</a>
