Hávamál captured my attention at a young age (before I ever considered a profession in Old Norse) and it's clear from interacting with Patreon supporters and other people who watch my videos that it's captured many other people's as well. What's fascinating is that students often dislike it.

In response to the strong interest I've seen in understanding Hávamál better, I'm now posting a series of videos in which I discuss, stanza-by-stanza, the meaning of the Old Norse words. The series probably won't be posted contiguously, because I've only filmed two in the series so far and I'm still committed to posting my Njals Saga series (already filmed) beginning at the end of December.

Meanwhile, in the second year of holiday cards, I've been surprised that I'm sending just about exactly half of the cards overseas. I am still working through all your requests in the evenings but have sent a few dozen so far; I still have a few left if anyone else still wants to make a request by Dec. 24.
