Breaking Step, an introduction (Patreon)

Breaking Step is book 3 in the Dungeon Runner series.

It’s in second draft stage, which means it’s cleaner, but can still contain inconsistencies I’ll need my editor to catch (if readers don’t delight in showing them to me first)

The core of the series if Tibs’s life, from street thief sent to run a newly found dungeon as his sentence for being caught, to doing something that will affect the whole world (I know what it is, and I’m not telling)

Book 3 focuses on the aftermath of book 2, with Tibs dealing with Carina’s death, and changes forced onto his team, and realizations about himself, and others around him and culminates with finally taking action against the guild.

As with most of my stories, it is very character centric, instead of plot driven. So there is meandering away and back to the primary plot. This story is written primarily for me, and I enjoy watching character deal with life, whatever form that might take, but there is a story underneath.

Tibs wants to free the dungeon and his town from the guild’s control, and he will do whatever it takes to accomplish it. Maybe at a higher cost than he can imagine.
